SPOOKY - TH,FR,SA @ 19:00 We are young people, who love our city and would like to show you our history ( good and bad ), traditions, stereotypes, foods and favourite places through the eye

s of a local! On The tour : Main Square, Street Statues, National Theatre, the Dome/Cathedral, Jewish district, CASTLE!, New & Old parliament, City walls & gates, etc…

Please keep in mind that our walking tour is not associated with any ho(s)tel, cafe, bar or restaurant and it is solely tip based. It is our bread and beer for the day , it drives us to give you the best experience possible.

We are canceling our SPOOKY LEGENDS tours and afternoon 20th Century tours until Sunday. All of our others might be shortened or changed according to the current situation.

"Only the ones who fought for freedom are also worthy of it."
Today, we comemorate the 34th anniversary of the Day which went into history as our "Freedom and Democracy Day"
Maybe the most important memorial holiday there is.
The people of Czechoslovakia demanded what we so often take for granted today - free elections, freedom of movement, freedom of speech, market economy...
They began their ultimately successful peaceful fight for democracy.
It is thanks to them that we can guide you through our lovely Bratislava and answer your questions openly and truthfully.
However, what our people underestimated was the protecting, maintaining and strengthening democracy itself. Among the chaos that errupted, many mistakes were made.
Democracy will only ever be as strong as our everyday interaction with it. We must remember our duties towards it as much and often as we benefit from the freedoms it is granting us. May we never forget how privileged we are and how many people are dying, suffering in agony every day only to keep or obtain what we too often forget to value properly.

Be grateful for your freedom today a bit more than usual - for all the people who died when they tried to flee the regime (pictures from the commemoration of the victims).

Tomorrow, 29th August, Slovakia will be celebrating the Slovak National Uprising against the fascist government. Thanks to over 35 nationalities participating.
PS: shops will be closed, so you can celebrate even harder
