"I'd been looking for a tour that would encompass both Slovakia & Czechia. I found this tour. Since we'd never done a private tour before, we had some trepidation. Peter was very clear in his communications and thus we booked.

Peter toured us around Bratislava showing us beautiful Old Town and filling us in on history. We wanted to do a 2-hour Communist Tour (thru a different company) but they were booked for our time in Bratislava. Peter contacted these folks and was able to arrange the tour for us. Great customer service. After two days in Bratislava, it was time to move on with our guide for the rest of the tour Martin.

Martin was great. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the areas we visited. In addition, he was an informed conversationalist, attentive to our needs and very courteous.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week jaunt with Best Slovakia Tours. Both Slovakia and Czechia are beautiful countries, yet different in scenery and "feel". So impressed with Martin and Peter, we are contemplating a second journey with them that would bring us to Slovenia. I highly recommend them!"

🍂 For some it's Halloween, the night when the road between living & dead is open.

🕯 For us in Slovakia, it's two days of families getting together, lighting candles and visiting graves of our late relatives. The 1st of November is also an important holiday, following our Christian heritage.

🕯 These autumn holy days may have a little darker and sad vibe, but it is truly a special time, when we are remembering those who are no longer with us, sharing a stories about them and their lives and what they meant for us and for the history of our families.

80 years ago, on August 29, 1944, started in town Banska Bystrica (Central Slovakia) one of the largest military uprisings against Na**sm and its allies in Europe.

*The uprising was directed on one hand against the occupation of Slovakia by the German Wehrmacht, which began on 29 August 1944, and on the other against the Slovak collaborationist regime under Jozef Tiso.

Once you'll be in Slovakia and you're interested in WW2 subject, we recommend to stop in Banska Bystrica and visit the Museum of SNP (indoor and outdoor). Link in the comments.

Thanks to our client and friend Ray from the US, i could be a part of their lovely European tour adventure.

We spent 3 days in Venice, tried tasty Italian cuisine, walked on must-to-see places such as San Marco square and all sights around, took a private boat trip to Murano (glass factory + short walking) and Burano (tasty lunch with a wine tasting on a tiny island). Thanks again, you have a lovely family and it was a pleasure to be with you. Grazie mille per tutto! Ci vediamo pronto.
