We’re thrilled to share this wonderful feedback from a recent three-day tour to Brownsberg, focusing on herpetology! They had an incredible time exploring the beautiful surroundings and learning about the local wildlife.

With a private tour, they could really dive into the world of reptiles and amphibians. They even spotted the smallest frog species hidden among the leaves! Our guides shared their knowledge about various plants and their uses, making the trip even more interesting.

The wildlife right outside their accommodation was a highlight, and the pleasant climate made for a comfortable stay with hardly any mosquitoes.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗰𝗵 – 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆!

Our Source-to-Sea expedition is going strong, and we’re now on the home stretch! After weeks of kayaking, climbing, and incredible wildlife encounters, we’re expecting to reach the sea today, the 4th of October.

𝗪𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 by standing on the 𝗖𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝘀𝗸𝗮𝗺𝗽 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝟭𝟮 𝗻𝗼𝗼𝗻 as we paddle through the final stretch. From there, we’ll continue paddling the last 10 km to the sea.

It’s been an amazing adventure so far, from being watched by a jaguar to paddling alongside giant river otters, and we can’t wait to share the grand finale with you all. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the finish line!

After months of intense preparation, we are thrilled to embark on this record-breaking expedition in our beloved Suriname! Our journey will aim to set 3 world records: the fastest ascent of Suriname's two highest peaks, and a world-first source-to-sea expedition, traveling from the source of the Coppename River all the way to the Atlantic Ocean. 𝗔 𝗥𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗸𝘆 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿! We had the incredible luck of spotting a silky anteater while exploring Peperpot Nature Park during our Hiking Tour with wildlife guide Danny Stark! They are usually tough to find, but there it was! Known as the smallest anteater species, this nocturnal critter spends its nights scurrying through the trees, using its long, sticky tongue to scoop up ants, termites and even bees! And though it looks cute and harmless, those tiny paws hide some pretty sharp claws, perfect for both climbing and defending itself if needed! Watching this tiny acrobat move with such ease through the branches was an unforgettable moment. It's reminding us of the incredible diversity that thrives in Suriname’s lush landscapes. From here, we embark on an incredible journey all the way to the sea, attempting to set a World First Record. While there may have been others before us who’ve travelled this path, we haven’t found any documented records. 𝗨𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲: 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗽! What an epic challenge! Climbing up and down Julianatop is no easy feat, but we took it on with everything we had! 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻? To set the fastest recorded time, and guess what? We did it! 💪 #guinnesworldrecord But it wasn't without its hurdles, Mother Nature had some surprises for us: 🐝 Matthew disturbed a wasp nest and got stung. 🐝 Dick ran into a bees’ nest and was absolutely brutalised. 🐜 Jacob, quite literally, had ants in his pants after an encounter with army ants. 🌿 And between the four of us, we pulled off nearly 300 ticks! We scrambled over boulders, navigated through dense trees, and faced every obstacle the jungle threw at us. This adventure wasn’t just a climb, it was a battle! To set a world record by reaching the summit of Julianatop in record time, then find the elusive source of the Coppename River.
