The branding project is an initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Suriname, which will be launched internationally in New York, USA. It is an effective instrument presenting the riches Suriname possesses nationally as well as internationally. The purpose of is to further develop Suriname as a country and also its people, to promote tourism an

d attract investors. To be able to accomplish this, it is important that the world understands that on the North-East Coast of the South-American Continent exists an unique composition of a population rich in culture, history and religion. A young democracy, barely 40 years old, which has succeeded to gain unity because of its diversity. Cultural diplomacy, presenting and promoting Suriname and its diversity and culture are part of the foreign policy of Suriname. With this branding project the world will not only recognize, but more importantly, know Suriname.
