Blue Star Apartments started out of the idea to keep the dream of the grandparents of one of the owners alive. In the late seventies and during the eighties they had some local businesses. Ranging from a Tailor shop to harvesting and exporting peanuts to Europe, all under the name Blue Star. They even had a football club. The place where Blue Star Apartments is located, was were they had the Warun

g (the Surinamese Javanese name for restaurant) and dance club. During the eighties they had to close and after that no one was interested in taking over the business. Now, after more than 3 decades! and with the blessings of "Pae" and "Mae" (our grandparents) the name Blue Star will rise again and be a part of the hospitality industry in Suriname. We are looking forward to welcome you at Blue Star Apartments and make your Surinam visit a memorable one.
