Maaloula
50 km from Damascus, at an altitude of more than 1500m, lays the small scenic town is one of the most picturesque in Syria, nestled on the slopes of a rocky mountain canyon.
There are two important monasteries in Maaloula: Greek Catholic Mar Sarkis and Greek Orthodox Mar Thecla. There are also the remains of numerous monasteries, convents, churches, shrines, and sanctuaries, and it has been inhabited at least as far back at the Roman period, as evidenced by the remains of a pagan temple reused in one of its churches.
Maaloula and the nearby towns of Bakhaa and Jubbaadin are the last places in the world where the Aramaic language is still spoken, and the town has become a center for the preservation and revitalization of the language.

Sidon Sea Castle
It was built in 1228 AD by the Crusader Knights of St John of Hospital and Jerusalem. Built on a small island in the Port of Sidon, it was used as a fortress of the holy land, and was connected to the mainland by a narrow 80m long roadway.
The castle primarily consists of two towers connected by a wall. In the outer walls, Roman columns were used as horizontal reinforcements, which is not uncommon for fortifications built on or near former Roman sites.

Al-Naasan Palace
It is located in Old Damascus , Syria near the Eastern Gate. It is distinguished by its building in the old Damascene style. It was built by Salim Naasan in 1607 AD , and near it there is a laboratory and factory for the manufacture of arabesques and mosaics . It is inhabited by the Al-Naasan family until today and it is open to visitors and tourists.
The palace covers an area of four thousand square meters and consists of two floors and of many rooms and halls.
The palace has two entrances, the western one of which is the main entrance, and it opens into a space that leads to a wide rectangular courtyard.
On the southern side of the palace is a high Iwan with two halls, and on the northern side is a spacious hall.
There is a record in the palace that includes thousands of signatures for VIPs, visitors, and tourists.

Church of St Elian
Most interesting church is the Roman Orthodox St. Elian Church, in the far eastern end of the old city in Homs. The church is most noteworthy for its frescoes, which date from the late 12th century or early 13th century. These frescoes decorate the apse of the church, which stands on the site of a 5th century church dedicated to Elian, who was the son of a Roman officer and martyred in 284 or 285 for refusing to renounce Christianity.
