MAKING MONEY BEGINS WITH IDEAS

One great idea can change your entire life.

Do you know that people 'cash in' on good ideas? Investors seek great ideas to invest in. And guess what? Ideas are FREE. Every great invention or business you see around you began as an idea in someone's mind.

That's why you must have an idea book, write down all the ideas that come to mind. With time you can reshape and refine them. You don't know which one will make you a millionaire.

I was asked during an interview once how one can come up with great ideas. I'll share three ways for today:

1. Train your mind to solve problems. Coming up with great ideas gets easy once you've trained your mind to solve problems. Always ask yourself when you're dissatisfied with a product, If I could improve this what can I add or subtract? What features of this product can I change? Who else can I serve (sometimes you find there is plenty of unserved market using products which are not tailored to their needs?) Ask as many questions as possible.

Make it a habit and you'll start having fun with it. I don't think there's a day that goes by without me saying, 'there's a gap in the market I need to create this product/ service.'

2. Surround yourself with great thinkers. They will sharpen your mind. If you're constantly around people who are creating and producing things, your mind will 'catch' this creativity and soon you'll be doing the same.

3. Spend time in solitude. All successful entrepreneurs are deep thinkers and they actually schedule time to think. Get a pen and paper and just think. You will be surprised by the power of your own mind. What you've needed all along to change your life has been right in your own mind.

The truth is the majority of the ideas will go nowhere but every once in while you'll stumble upon 'gold in the dirt'. The key is to allow your mind to think without limits. This is not time to start worrying about capital. I've learnt from experience that there is plenty of capital chasing after great ideas packaged in coherent business plans presented by an individual who knows what they are doing.

Implement these and you'll be unstoppable. I wish all the success in the world.
