Earlier this year, an article by our friend Ben Stubenberg was published in the Times of the Islands Magazine, giving a detailed account of the incredible rescue at sea following a plane crash off Grand Turk. Our Captain Kell Talbot has amazing knowledge and understanding of these waters, and an undeniable connection to the ocean. The article is at www.timespub.tc/2024/07/heroic-rescue-at-sea/ and photographed below.

We fell in love with the artwork of Kell, his boat and the dolphins by the fantastic artist Rich McGhie which now hangs in our home, and of course Kell kept the piece of plane that we later found during sea turtle survey work - that’s in our office if anyone wants to see it!

Hi all! We have a couple booked for a full day (7 hour) whale watching charter on 7th February 2025 at 9am from Grand Turk that would be interested in splitting the trip with another couple (or small group). If anyone would like to join, feel free to message on Facebook or email [email protected] for more details. Thanks! Joe Garza

It might be slow season but we’re having some great catches on fishing charters! Nothing makes Captain Kell happier than a deep sea fishing charter, especially with some big yellowfin on the line 🎣

We were alerted by Happywhale this morning of a very cool match to Iceland and our first with Arctic Sea Tours, ISMN2022. This is TCI-597 and our 5th Iceland resighting. A lot of times, as in this case, our underwater images are hard to locate matches and uploading to Happywhale can be very rewarding. Good stuff right here! 🐋🐋🐋

Agassiz! As well as serenading us with this season’s beautiful whale song, he took a break to approach the boat and lazily slap his pectoral fins, at one point laying on his back completely. The in-water encounters are incredible but these surface activities show the true size and force of these incredible whales!

Agassiz! TCI-614 a Gulf of Maine and Bay of Fundy feeder was encountered yesterday singing his heart out in the Turks and Caicos Islands. 🎶🎶🎶

Thanks Turks and Caicos Islands Whale Project for the quick match on one of yesterday's whales!

We have a new match and this one took some digging! This is TCI-607 from Trinity Bay, Newfoundland, and our friends at Sea of Whales Adventures
