🏖 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒉𝒖𝒌𝒆𝒕, 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒍 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒏 🏝

Before our group said "goodbye" to our hosts in Phayao, we spent some time visiting the local iconic temple situated on the peaceful mountain sanctuary.

Then, we proceeded to the tropical paradise known for its stunning beaches, vibrant nightlife, and rich cultural heritage. Here, we witnessed the classic traditional ways of life at Phuket's Old Town before ending our day with the World Class Culture Shows at Siam Niramit.

This journey has been a testament to Thailand’s dedication to accessible tourism.

Our group traveled to Phayao province and experienced community-based tourism at Baan Dok Bua. This area has been developed from research conducted over 10 years ago and has evolved into a quality secondary tourist destination that warmly welcomes everyone.

The activities of our blind and visually impaired travelers from the UK have been shared widely, capturing the attention of almost every media outlet, including television, online platforms, and newspapers. The heartwarming stories of these adventures have been warmly received and appreciated by Thai society.

Our group arrived in Chiang Mai and had an amazing experience with the largest land animal, the elephant. Activities included preparing food, feeding the elephants, and even getting the chance to bathe them.
In the evening, we enjoyed a world-renowned experience of having dinner from street food vendors.
It was a day filled with joy and fun for everyone.

🔐 𝑨𝒚𝒖𝒕𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒚𝒂'𝒔 𝑯𝒊𝒅𝒅𝒆𝒏 𝑺𝒆𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒔
Our group explored significant activities in Ayutthaya's rich cultural and historical sites.
We enjoyed a Rice Barge dinner cruise and visited the World Heritage sites in the historical park. A highlight of the day was the introduction of 3D-printed models, which made it easier for our travelers to understand Ayutthaya's valuable and important architecture.
Notably, we were the first group to use the newly prepared 3D model of Wat Chaiwatthanaram, available just two days ago. This model, depicting Wat Chaiwatthanaram in its complete form, was created and supported by the U.S. Embassy in Thailand and delivered to the Historical Park Office for the benefit of visually impaired travelers.
This marks another important step for Ayutthaya in becoming a prototype destination for inclusive tourism.

Our group of travelers visited Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of the largest open-air markets in the world, also known as 'Jatujak' or simply 'JJ Market'. They received a warm and friendly welcome from Dr. วีระศักดิ์ โควสุรัตน์ Weerasak Kowsurat, Former Minister of Tourism and Sports, and Asst. Prof. Supawadee Photiyarach, Senior Specialist of Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI), who are leader in promoting Accessible and Inclusive Tourism in Thailand.
After enjoying a delightful lunch, the group continued their journey to Ayutthaya.

Our blind and visually impaired travelers explored the highlights of Bangkok.
We started with a visit to Pak Khlong Talat, the flower market, where they learned about the cultural significance of preparing offerings for Buddhist rituals.
They then offered these flowers to the Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho. The day concluded with a serene boat ride along the Chao Phraya River.

Last night, we welcomed a group of nine blind and visually impaired travelers from the UK to Thailand.
They arrived in the evening, and we brought them to their accommodation, where they enjoyed their first Thai meal.
It was a special occasion as they arrived on the day of Loy Krathong, so we organized a Loy Krathong activity for them. For many, it was their first time in Thailand, and they were delighted to experience this beautiful festival.

We had an important meeting to discuss the future of expanding our market to the UK and Europe in Kent, a World Heritage City home to Canterbury Cathedral.
Traveling from London using public transportation, we learned about accessibility features and services that ensure everyone, regardless of physical abilities, can access these amenities without limitations. We saw great examples to implement and our business discussions went smoothly.

On the last day, we had an incredible online meeting with potential customers connected by one of our guests. The dynamic reaction to the potential of accessible tourism in Thailand was truly inspiring.

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟵 - 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗔𝗠 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗽
𝐸𝑥𝑝𝑙𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐴𝑐𝑐𝑒𝑠𝑠𝑖𝑏𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑖𝑛 𝑃ℎ𝑢𝑘𝑒𝑡 𝑜𝑛 𝑂𝑢𝑟 𝐿𝑎𝑠𝑡 𝐷𝑎𝑦!
In Phuket, we wrapped up our investigation into accessible tourism in central and southern Thailand. We visited a hotel to inspect their accessibility services, enjoyed the stunning viewpoint at Khao Rung, explored the shopping mall, and finished at the iconic Lam Phrom Thep landmarks. The day ended with a memorable farewell beach dinner.
