Update on our roof progress. It's incredibly hot under the sun but we're making progress. After a few hours up ok the roof water never tasted so good!
Did you know that the wood on kiffir like trees has a rich like smell to it when it's freshly cut. I'm going to come back and check the wood if it still has a rich like flavor after a week.
My wife planted this kiffir lime tree some 2 years ago and we forgot about it as it's ben growing in the shadow of a large jasmine bush. Now the lime tree has shows itself as it's grown above the jasmine bush and we're reminded of the bush. Come tear off a leaf and take a smell from these juicy leaves, or chop up the leaves into tiny slivers and mix them with Thai curry paste.
Bedrock is on top of a small hill in the area and surrounded by palm and rubber plantations meaning that many local farmers bring their cows to some of the surrounded plantations to help graze down the foliage. The cows never bother our guests as they're extremely quiet. They area a great addition to the nature in the region and help control weds, grass snd under growth in general.
Some of the plants and trees we've planted around bedrock are edible, we will try to showcase these varieties to our guests here and will in the future provide classes and more detailed information about this vast array of edible plants in the region. Learn and grow!
Meet one of our little dogs. Eva who was abandoned at he Bedrock but won our hearts over and we took her home. We live very close to The Bedrock so we still take her back to The Bedrock when were doing check-ins or just going for a walk.
The flowers on our arbor are in bloom and attract some friendly butterflies looking for a morning snack.
