kulab resort is situated on the thai laos border backing on to the beautiful mekhong river, it has a choice of air con rooms with ceiling fan, or fan rooms with ceiling and wall fans. This area of thailand is virtualy untouched by comercialism and has an abundance of natural beauty, the area is of interest to bird watchers around the world with many species of birds to be viewed,these can be furth

Also there are caves to be explored, waterfalls,than tip 30 minutes drive and than tong aprox 1 hours drive, golf can be played at one of loeis courses, local crafts can be observed and of course we have on site fishing with around a dozen different species of fish to be caught, either just for the sport or maybe you would like some of your catch barbequed or used in tom yum our kitchen would be glad to do this for you. At certain times of the year (better when the river is low) around feb- june our guide can take you down to the mekhong river to fish. The mekhong contains some of the largest species of fresh water fish in the world and of course the mekhong giant catfish and the giant catfish also known to the local villagers as the buffalo fish do to its enormity. It is not though necessary to fish in the river as we have on site our own pool stocked with a variety of fish including the giant siamese carp,4 or 5 varieties of catfish including the giant catfish and the mekhong catfish, clown featherbacks and a variety of smaller more edible fish, we discourage the purchase of catfish and featherbacks for eating as we prefer to have them grow to be caught again
when even bigger.
