Only a certificate of vaccination or a negative RT-PCR or professional ATK test result within 72 hours of travel will be required at the point of entry into Thailand.
Bangkok 20 June 2022 - The Thailand Pass registration scheme and a US$10,000 health insurance requirement for international tourists will be phased out on July 1, 2022, according to Thailand's Centre of COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA). Thai nationals were initially exempt from both criteria as of June 1, 2022.
Foreign nationals will only be needed to present proof of vaccination or a negative RT-PCR or professional ATK test result within 72 hours of travel starting July 1, 2022. These can be printed or viewed on a computer. Arrivals at Thailand's international airports or land border crossings will be subjected to random screenings (in 22 provinces). Travellers who are unvaccinated or not completely vaccinated and cannot demonstrate documentation of a pre-arrival negative test will be compelled to take a professional ATK test at the point of entry.
Meanwhile, the CCSA accepted the designation of Bangkok and 76 provinces as the Surveillance or Green Zone, allowing new normal businesses and activities to resume across the country. While maintaining the universal prevention safety and health measures, the Royal Thai Government is planning to issue a new set of rules as the country enters the post-pandemic phase.
Aqytra will be providing updates in detail via page once the official directives have been announced in the Royal Thai Government Gazette.

Bangkok, 20 May, 2022 – Thailand’s Centre of COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) today approved the simplified Thailand Pass registration and entry rules for international arrivals, effective 1 June 2022. (Source: TAT Newsroom )
Foreign nationals are still required to apply for a Thailand Pass (via https://tp.consular.go.th/), but will only need to provide passport details, vaccination, and an US$10,000 health insurance policy. The system will then automatically issue a Thailand Pass QR code for the applicants. Meanwhile, Thais will no longer be required to apply for a Thailand Pass.
Upon arriving in Thailand, vaccinated travellers must undergo entry screening, and will then be allowed entry and are free to go anywhere in the kingdom.
Unvaccinated/not fully vaccinated travellers who are able to upload proof of a negative RT-PCR or professional ATK test within 72 hours of travel via the Thailand Pass system will also be allowed entry and are free to go anywhere in the kingdom.
The CCSA also approved further easing of nationwide COVID-19 controls with three colour-coded zones: The Pilot Tourist Areas or blue zones, the Surveillance or green zone, and the Areas under Stringent Surveillance or yellow zone.
Night-time entertainment venues; such as, pubs, bars and karaoke lounges in the green and blue zones will be allowed to resume operation, including the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages on the premises up till 24.00 Hrs. However, all venues are told to strictly adhere to the prevention guidelines.
The CCSA also lifted the quarantine requirement for the high-risk contact.

" End of mandatory face mask use "
( Source: https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/2315118/end-of-mandatory-face-mask-use )
Mandatory mask-wearing will be limited to people with underlying illnesses, the elderly and pregnant women. The easing of pandemic restrictions will come into effect in mid-June, according to the permanent secretary for public health.
The compulsory wearing of face masks will still apply to people in poorly ventilated places and crowded areas, Dr Kiattiphum Wongrajit said in Surat Thani province on Tuesday.
The Covid-19 situation was improving faster than expected and the disease would become endemic in the country as planned, Dr Kiattiphum said, referring to the Public Health Ministry's plan to declare Covid-19 an endemic disease on July 1.
Local health officials will offer advice to people on how to safely live with Covid-19, he said.
The government made wearing a face mask in public mandatory early last year and also set a fine for violations, to help limit the spread of Covid, he added.
A recent survey found people had become more lenient with mask-wearing.
Thailand registered 36 more Covid-19 fatalities and 4,144 new cases during the previous 24 hours, the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) announced on Tuesday.
