Thipsamai started off as a small street food stall in the late 1960s but has since expanded to an elaborate restaurant with multiple branches throughout Bangkok.
Pad Thai Thipsamai, also known as 'Pad Thai Pratu Pi' (Ghost Gate Pad Thai), is one of the most famous Pad Thai restaurants in Thailand.
The fresh orange juice, although pricey, is definitely worth trying too!

This week the Poh Teck Tung Foundation is holding its annual event again for the poor and homeless in Bangkok.
Our street is lined up with hundreds of people for 2 days and nights: elderly, families with (very young) children…..
It touches our hearts. People can become homeless for no fault of their own. They are people just like us. And they need support.
Don’t take a roof over your head and enough to eat every day for granted. Be grateful for it.

Like last year, we did a small contribution again.
Last night we handed out hot meals, this afternoon we handed out bags with noodles, fish sauce, milk and canned fish.
We are grateful to be part of such a heartwarming community in Chinatown.

De zomervakantie loopt ten einde, dus het merendeel van onze gasten zijn inmiddels huiswaarts gekeerd.
We hebben een aantal zeer drukke en intensieve weken achter de rug, maar zijn erg blij met de reacties die we van onze gasten hebben ontvangen na hun reis met WanderSiam.

Little more than an hour away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, a secret and exciting wildlife experience awaits, completely off-grid from the Thai tourist trail. Not widely known, the Gulf of Thailand is home to whales, specifically Bryde’s Whales. These majestic creatures live in the waters off Samut Songkhram and Petchaburi provinces year round, but they flock to the northern gulf to feed on an abundance of anchovies during the rainy season.

For today we booked a whale watching trip for a Dutch family. At 6 AM we picked them up at their hotel and brought them to the pier in Samut Songkhram. And what a great and unforgettable day they had, spotting many whales during their day trip!
