Bangkok is Thailand’s capital and most populated city. It is not only the nationally political and administrative center, but it is also equipped with charming tourist attractions of culturally diverse combination like the Grand Palace, Santa Cruz Church, Yaowarat (China Town) Area, ICONSIAM, Mahanakhon Skywalk, and Buddhist temples. In addition, with important shopping and trading areas, Bangkok has been granted various world’s rankings, one of the first choices for tourism, the 1st global destination and most visited cities by foreign tourists.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has launched the Tree/You/Again Project to introduce the conservative tourism in the Bangkok area. Foreign tourists are invited to plant Thai important trees in public parks located in Phra Nakhon District namely Mahakan Fort Public Park, Rommaninat Public Park, Saranrom Public Park and Santi Chai Prakan Public Park.
The BMA hopes that after planting trees under the Project, foreign tourists will be impressed, feel attached to Thailand and desire to visit Bangkok again for observing the growth of their own planting trees.
