The main feature of Wat Arun is its central prang, which is encrusted with colourful porcelain. This is interpreted as a stupa-like pagoda encrusted with coloured faience.The height is reported by different sources as between 66.8 m (219 ft) and 86 m (282 ft). The corners are surrounded by four smaller satellite prang. The prang are decorated by seashells and bits of porcelain, which had previously been used as ballast by boats coming to Bangkok from 🇨🇳 China.

🍪🍰Khanom thang taek, also known as poor man's pancake, is a roadside snack in Thailand.Khamom thang taek is a pancake with a bubble vesting face load with other toppings. Khanom thang taek is a Thai signature snack at the temple fairs. Formerly, people could find it only at temple fairs. Now, this snack can be found at many local markets or on the roadside.

Literally, thang taek translates as "broken bucket" (or "broken barrel"), but it is also an idiom for bankruptcy or a person who is broke, hence the term poor man's pancake. The name might be a reference to the bursting of bubbles when it is made, though some people say[weasel words] that khanom thang taek is very cheap, so even a poor man can buy it but someone called Khanom Thang thong , Thang Ngean translates as "Golden - Silver bucket" sound better than broken bucket dessert.🧁🥧

Khanom thang taek is made from a mixture of rice flour and coconut milk (some recipes include eggs or egg whites) and is topped with shredded coconut, sugar, and sesame seeds. Sometimes there are other kinds of toppings such as sweetmeats, garlic and pepper.There are also recipes that add pandan (Bai Toey) juice to give it a green color and good smell.

Cannabis, also known as ma*****na among other names,is a psychoactive drug from the Cannabis plant. Native to Central and South Asia, the cannabis plant has been used as a drug for both recreational and entheogenic purposes and in various traditional medicines for centuries.

Thailand makes significant changes to its cannabis laws. We are the first country in Asia to decriminalize ma*****na, starting 9th June 2022. Through a unanimous vote, the Narcotics Control Board approved the Ministry of Public Health’s draft announcement to delist cannabis as a controlled drug under the Thai Narcotics Act.

🛴🌭🌮Baozi or bao, is a type of yeast-leavened filled bun in various Chinese cuisines. There are many variations in fillings (meat or vegetarian) and preparations, though the buns are most often steamed. They are a variation of mantou from Northern China.😋

🛴🌮Tha Din Daeng evening market is a market and one of oldest neighbourhoods in Bangkok. It is in the Somdet Chao Phraya and Khlong San Subdistricts of Khlong San District on the Thonburi side. 🥘🌭

We will visit there if it is the evening market day which is 3 days per week.

🌭🌮Sai krok Isan pronounced is a fermented sausage originating in the northeastern provinces of Thailand.It is made with pork and rice, and typically eaten as a snack served with bird's eye chilis, raw cabbage, and sliced ginger.
