Asian Trails recently had the privilege of visiting the highly anticipated Techo International Airport for a special preview of this landmark development near Phnom Penh.

Our Cambodia Product Manager, Diego Santacroce, and Operations Manager, Sothea Pensin, were given a tour of the vast complex, located 20 km south of the capital.

The $1.3 billion project spans 26,000,000 sq-m and is set to become the ninth largest airport in the world upon opening in July 2025. Designed to accommodate the largest aircraft, the airport is expected to handle up to 50 million passengers annually. To read more, visit: https://buff.ly/3ED72b6

Visitors to Southern Laos were treated to a spectacular display of light and sound this week at the UNESCO World Heritage temple of Vat Phou.

This 5th-century Khmer-Hindu complex is set within a cultural landscape that spans over a millennium and ancient history comes alive at the vibrant Vat Phou Festival, an annual celebration of Laos’ rich heritage, with traditional performances, fireworks and a candlelight procession. Additionally, a village market showcases local products, ranging from Bolaven Plateau Coffee to handwoven textiles and rattan crafts.

Asian Trails’ CEO Laurent Kuenzle had the great pleasure of participating in the second annual event, organised by our partners at Polhotrep - Travel Representation in Warsaw, Poland.

The event provided a fantastic opportunity for Laurent to meet with our clients in person and take part in the unique activity of building bee houses to help protect the dwindling bee population.
