[Partner Event] Lancement du Livre - L'Asie du Sud Est 2025, Bilan, Enjeux et Perspective 📚 🌏

La Chambre de Commerce Franco-Thai (FTCC) est ravie de vous inviter a la conference de lancement du livre "L'Asie du Sud-Est 2025" en collaboration avec Irasec (Institut de recherche sur l'Asie du Sud-Est contemporaine) et Alliance Française de Bangkok .

Depuis près de 20 ans, l’IRASEC met la recherche au service de ceux qui travaillent en, avec ou sur l’Asie du Sud-Est, ceux qui y vivent et ceux qui l’étudient, à travers son ouvrage annuel : L’Asie du Sud-Est. Bilan, enjeux, perspectives.

L’IRASEC mobilise ainsi une vingtaine de chercheurs et d’experts pour décrypter l’actualité de l’année écoulée et mieux appréhender l’année à venir, dans un volume de plus de 400 pages. Chacun des onze pays de la région y est examiné dans un chapitre dédié, ce à quoi s’ajoutent cinq chapitres thématiques transversaux. Des cartes, fiches-pays, chronologies et indicateurs chiffrés viennent compléter l’ensemble.

À l’occasion du lancement de l’édition 2025 de cet ouvrage, quatre auteurs viendront présenter le fruit de leurs recherches: Gabriel Facal (IRASEC) sur l’Indonésie, Éric Daudé (CNRS) sur la surveillance de la dengue, et Elsa Lafaye de Micheaux et Muriel Périsse (INALCO et Université d’Artois) sur la question du travail.

[Recap] FTCC ESG Committee's “Air We Share: Understanding Air Quality and its Effect on our Health Webinar” 🌍✨

On 25 February 2025, FTCC hosted an insightful online seminar, organized by the FTCC ESG Committee, to explore the critical topic of air quality and its profound impact on health.

The session started with an opening address by the ESG Committee Chairman, Martin DILLY, introducing the importance of air quality in our daily lives.

Session #1 Outdoor Air Quality
- Dr. Jošt V. Lavrič, PhDč, Product Manager for Scientific Products at Acoem, shared his expertise on outdoor air quality, highlighting the global challenges and potential solutions.

Session #2 Indoor Air Quality
- Angela Bejarano BArch, MSc Notts, Global Sustainability Consultant at TERAO Asia, discussed the significance of indoor air quality, focusing on how it affects both workplaces and homes.

Session #3 Health Effects of Air Pollution
- Dr. Padungkiat Tangpiroontham, Thoracic Surgeon at Bangkok Hospital, talked about the health consequences of air pollution, offering valuable advice on how to protect ourselves.

We concluded the webinar with the Q&A session, moderated by Patrice PISCHEDDA, Managing Director at Acoem Asia, allowed participants to engage directly with our expert speakers.

[FTCC News] On February 11, 2025, FTCC Executive Director, Severine Clement, had the exclusive opportunity to pay a courtesy visit to H.E. Mr. Sarun Charoensuwan at Royal Thai Embassy - Paris, France.

The discussion, also attended by Mr. Boonyarit Vichienpund, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, along with Ms. Nuntanart Krisnachinda, Minister Counsellor (Investment) of BOI Paris, Ms. Chittrapon LERTTAWEEWIT, Conseillère (Affaires économiques et OCDE) and Mr. Supawat Chomchan, International Sales Manager at DITP Paris - Royal Thai Embassy in France.

The meeting focused on improving trade and investment between Thailand and France. They also discussed the importance of supporting strong business projects that bring benefits to both countries.

This cooperation is part of the celebrations for 340 years of Siam-France relations in 2025 and 170 years of diplomatic ties in 2026.

On 14 February 2025, the Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce (FTCC) proudly co-hosted the JFCCT Prime Minister’s Address Luncheon at Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok, one of our valued FTCC members. This prestigious gathering welcomed 500+ participants, including key representatives from various Chambers of Commerce.

The highlight of the event was the Prime Minister’s inspiring speech, where she shared insightful perspectives on Thailand’s development and strategic vision for the future.
