[FTCC News] It is with great sadness that the Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce (FTCC) was informed of the passing of Lucas Boudet, Former Executive Director of the Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce (2011-2014) and a brilliant member of the CCI FI network. Lucas led the Franco-Thai Chamber with dedication and excellence, leaving a lasting impact during his nearly four-year tenure.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones during this time of great sorrow. May he rest in peace.

Yesterday, on August 28, 2024, FTCC had the pleasure of hosting the FTCC Economic Luncheon featuring Jean Sol-Macher, Economic Counsellor of the French Embassy in Thailand. The event was kicked off with a warm welcome speech by Jean-Boris Roux, FTCC Vice President.

Thank you to Jean Sol-Macher for providing such insightful and thought-provoking perspectives on Thailand's economic landscape. The discussion focused on the need for Thailand to adapt quickly, likening the country to an "aging athlete" with a strong foundation that must evolve to stay competitive.

On 17 July, the Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce brought together top luxury brands at the First Luxury Committee meeting at VIE Hotel MGallery. We were honored to host representatives from Christian Dior Couture, Louis Vuitton, CHANEL, Gucci, Richemont, Hermès, Christian Louboutin, L'Oréal Luxe, Lancôme, BALENCIAGA, Jimmy Choo, Berluti , Missoni, Fendi, Charoen Decor International, Jim Thompson , Parfums Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent Beauty, OnTheList, and Kearney.

[ESG IMPACT] Sodexo Thailand Brings a Smile to Students with its 12th "STOP HUNGER" activity at Nikhomsangton-eng Rayong 9 School in Rayong, Thailand.

Sodexo Thailand is committed to continuing its "STOP HUNGER" activity, Sodexo's unique philanthropic cause, to raise awareness of and address hunger issues. This year, they visited Nikhomsangton-eng Rayong 9 School in Rayong to provide food, bring smiles and warmth to the students, and contribute to community development through fundraising and organizing beneficial activities to improve the community's well-being.

The 12th "STOP HUNGER" activity brought together over 150 volunteers, including employees, customers, and suppliers, to participate in various activities such as:
- Preparing meals for over 500 students and staff
- Maintaining school facilities
- Planting vegetables in the school garden
- Donating essential items and scholarships worth over 500,000 baht

The activity brought smiles and laughter to the students. Over 999 people benefited from the 'STOP HUNGER' activity initiated by Sodexo Thailand.

[FTCC News] 👏 Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce (FTCC) is pleased to share news of our Executive Director's recent participation in important meetings in France and receiving a prestigious award for our 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐄-𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐞. 🇹🇭 🇫🇷

Séverine Derville , FTCC's Executive Director, recently attended the CCI France International meetings in Paris and a three-day Seminar with Directors of French Chambers of Commerce abroad in Marseille.

🎯 The meetings in Paris brought together over 60 representatives of French Chambers of Commerce abroad, 50 international partners, and 40 companies seeking global expansion opportunities. The program focused on topics such as decarbonization, energy transition as well as BtoB meetings, and networking cocktails.

🎯 The three-day Seminar in Marseille provided a platform for Executive Directors from 60 countries, along with the CCI France International team, to share expertise and best practices. The main topics included reviewing 2023 achievements, exchanging economic models, exploring the potential of AI, and strengthening collaboration within the vast CCI France network.

[Past event] On June 14th, Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce (FTCC) organized its first Business Women Lunch at Workshop Restaurant. This event gathered 10 C-level women who brainstormed on the initiatives to implement and topics to address to the broader business women community of Bangkok. 👩‍💼 👩‍💻

Matchmaking, mentoring, professional & personal topics, give back & receive,... were some of the many ideas shared during this lunch. These are now nourishing the calendar of activities we will propose to business women in the next coming months.

[CFO Committee] Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce (FTCC) is pleased to announce the successful launch of its CFO Committee. The Committee recently organized its first meeting on June 20, 2024, bringing together Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) from a diverse range of FTCC member companies.

The meeting was chaired by Mathilde Casalta, Senior Audit Manager, and Kodchakorn Kum-iem, Legal Director at Forvis Mazars in Thailand. The event fostered a lively exchange of ideas, with attendees discussing the current challenges and opportunities faced by CFOs in the Thai market.

On June 14th, the Industrial Committee of Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce (FTCC) had the pleasure of participating in a fascinating site visit to Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation (CSII).

A huge thank you to Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation, Dr. Pietro Borsano, and the CSII team for their warm welcome towards our FTCC members. Dr. Pietro provided a captivating presentation on the school's innovative pedagogical approach and vision. Their focus on nurturing "future-ready graduates" with lifelong learning capabilities who can make impactful contributions from day one resonated deeply with all of us.

FTCC members had the opportunity to introduce themselves and their areas of expertise, fostering a positive and productive exchange of ideas.
