Recommendations for first time travellers.
As a Thai person, I can recommend you some places that I like. But it really depends on what type of vacation you are looking for. Some interesting choices are :
🔹️Bangkok - temples/largest weekend market in the world/night cruise along the river with dinner buffet/shopping malls/rooftop bars & restaurants with city view
🔹️Ayutthaya - ancient ruins/elephants/grilled river prawns/temples
🔹️Chiang Mai - temples/markets/walking street/mountains/flowers/cafe hopping
🔹️Pattaya - Nightlife/beaches/resorts/Ripley's/waterparks/Nongnuch Garden/elephant parks/tiger parks/ladyboy cabaret shows
🔹️Koh Samed - Very beautiful beaches that are more quiet and peaceful, but also has entertainment, cafes and convenience
🔹️Kanchanaburi - river/mountains/waterfalls/history/cafes
*I don't recommend Phuket or Phi Phi Island. Way too overpriced and overrated. You can find beautiful beaches in Koh Samed and Koh Chang in much more reasonable price.
