Our new Trek Dual Sport bikes have arrived, the perfect hybrid for almost any terrain with its burly tires and super comfortable build. Our Thailand team saddled up for a day-long test ride from Bangkok's city streets and alleys to the country lanes and gravel roads of Bang Krachao, an island community in the middle of the Chaophraya River.

, the old Siamese capital just north of Bangkok, never gets old for us! Almost entirely destroyed during a war with the Burmese in the late 18th century, Ayutthaya still captivates with its faded remnants of former glory. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, cycling through its ancient landscape is a highlight of any biking holiday in Thailand.

Our mechanics are truly the unsung heroes behind the adventures we take you on! Recently, SpiceRoads met up with Probike, the local distributor of Trek Bicycle in Bangkok, for our annual training.

🔧This year, we tinkered with Shimano's latest 11-speed drivetrains, setup and maintenance of Shimano Di2 electronic shifting systems, and had a refresher in wheel balancing.

Saddle up for sunny Portugal! Our 𝗖𝗬𝗖𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗕𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗢 𝗩𝗜𝗔 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗛𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗖 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗢𝗥 tour goes well off the beaten path on a two-wheeled adventure from Lisbon to Porto, Portugal's two major hubs.

🏰 Riding through the Côa Valley, where the hills are studded with old mediaeval fortresses such as the Castelo Bom and Almeida Castle.

🌲 Conquering the escarpments and valleys of Douro International Natural Park, an important wildlife corridor that spans both sides of the Portuguese-Spanish border.

🍇 An unforgettable cycling loop through the charming Douro wine region, home to picturesque vineyards, orange groves, and rustic country estates.

🇵🇹 🚵‍♀️ 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝘆 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗕𝗶𝗸𝗲 begins in Guarda, Portugal's highest altitude city, nestled in the Serra da Estrela mountains. From here, we depart on an exciting road cycling journey that crisscrosses some of Central Portugal's most ruggedly beautiful terrain as we pedal our way southwards to the Silver Coast along the Atlantic. While the climbs may be tough, the rewards are plentiful; from medieval castles, charming countryside, stone villages, delicious cuisine, and cosy hotels – here are the essential stats and a few handpicked highlights:

🏞 Tracing the Nabão River to the historic Tomar, a UNESCO-awarded town that was founded by the Knights Templar sometime in the 12th century.
