Run by people from where batchoy originated from, they have managed to preserve the authenticity of the batchoy - miles away from Iloilo.

Pic taken along the famous Mae Hong Son loop during the annual field burning practice of farmers in northern Thailand. (They usually do this at the early months of the year.)

Sadly these fires cannot be effectively controlled and can often spill over, setting fire on neighboring lands as well as some parts of the forest reserve.

We felt like daredevils going through roads with flames on both sides of the road. Truly a one of a kind experience.

Magic Mountain offers a vantage point to witness a sea of clouds covering the valley below which locals deem as magical, and thus the name.

It is located at the Pong district of the Phayao province, about 740 kilometers north of Bangkok and is very near to the Thailand - Laos border.

Pictures attached were taken before the current Route 1148 Coffee Shop is what it is today.

Uttamanusorn Bridge, commonly known as Mon Bridge is the longest wooden bridge in Thailand, and second longest in the world with its total listed length being 850m.

Only pedestrians are allowed to cross the bridge. Supposedly when one is at the middle of the bridge, the meeting point of three rivers can be seen.

📍Trip Report 🏍🇹🇭

• Day 2, December 28, 2021
• Chiang Mai - Chiang Rai
• Saranghae Resort - Hinoki Land - Ban Phahee - Mae Salong
• 265 km
• Btw, Saranghae resort has a playful corgi 🐶
• Some nice bikers offered to take video/photo of us in the the famous road of Chiangdao 🙏🏼
• Visited Hinoki Land (80thb entrance fee for foreigners), a Japanese themed park with a great view, it has cafe inside as well. 👍🏻⛩
• Went to Phahee village in Chiangrai for coffee at phahee coffee, overlooking Myanmar. Nice twisties going up, but there are lots of people visiting phahee village, parking is full. ⛰
• Travelled back to Mae Salong for a night, and had black chicken (ayam cemani-rare kind) tomyum and kaprao mookrop for dinner, yummmm! 😋
• Weather is cool 🥶

• Day 1, Dec 27, 2021
• Nonthaburi - ChiangMai - ChiangDao
• 760 km
• 6am to 6pm
• Hit an angry bird and broke the visor
• Visited the famous landmark in Chiangmai - Tha Pae Gate
• Stayed at Saranghae Resort, ChiangDao (the owner is nice and very accommodating, the place is peaceful and close to nature, the korean inspired wooden cabins are clean and the bed has heatpad, cool weather, bonfire at night, they serve korean bbq and other dishes, free coffee and home-made tea. One night is not enough ☺️)

Turkish coffee 🇹🇷😊 Turkish coffee is very finely ground coffee brewed by boiling. The coffee grounds are left in the coffee when served. Coffee and water, usually with added sugar, is brought to the boil in a special pot called cezve in Turkey, and often called ibrik elsewhere. As soon as the mixture begins to froth, and before it boils over, it is taken off the heat; it may be briefly reheated twice more to increase the desired froth.
