A grandma "Mae Kood" with her keeper.

Story of "Mae Kood" elderly elephant.

"Mae" in local thai word riteraly means " Female or lady" " Kood" riteraly means "short".

A lovely shorted grandma 🐘 in hug elephant s. Camp " name's "Mae kood" whenever she sees group of visitors come to the camp she always walk to greet visitors and need for snack( banana& Sagar cane) she also like to walk around visitors.
In the past of her life , she used to work for logging and then she associate in a riding camp. Nowadays she enjoys her life with her close young buddy " Poompuang" 🐘 that live together with her since she was young and used to live and work in other place too. "Mae kood" she has one problem about abscess near her cheeks that can be swell and get inflame easily As she is very old.

Full Day. Hiking with elephant along giant bamboo forest hill and rock formations trail see a panoramic view of fruit farms, local village and mountain range at " Blue Daily Elephant Care Sanctuary."

Activity details.

-learning to interact with elephant.
- making treats for elephant.
- meet and interact with elephant by feeding.
- walking with elephant up to the hill and stop at a tree platform for feeding elephant as second round.
- hiking up hill to the area of giant bamboo forest and visit rock formations. spending time with elephant along the forest trail, enjoy feeding and see elephant foraging by themselves.
- Reaching to the view point to see a panoramic view of local village, fruit farms and mountain range.
- stop for lunch at a longan garden hut below the hill.

-meet elephant in the afternoon and enjoy with elephant bathing.

- last feeding for elephant.

The price : 2,300 Baht/person. Including meal, care and driver for transferring, tour guide and insurance.
