The exchange of information and communications are fast growing, mainly derived from the social media. Social media is very important for communications nowadays, which caused the formation of groups from small to organization size and spread to the art circle aswell. Use Space started of as a small show case area amongst a small circle of artistic friends. When there is no exhibition, artists go
their separate ways to find jobs for survival, mainly stay in Bangkok, amidst the growing Thai art culture in Thailand. Use Space is another alternative to many available big or small spaces in Bangkok. Use Space is not a fixed artist space and is not supported by any artistic institutes of Thailand. It derived purely from ideas amongst artistic friends that have the common interest in having an exhibition space from the empty space that we already have. A space that we can exhibit our paintings amongst our small circle of artistic friends to share on our thoughts and learn from each other’s experience and ofcourse, in connection with art. If we were to look from the historical side of arts, art is not restriceted only to be found in organisations or art institutes but can be found in small space like ours – Use Space.
ท่ามกลางการเปลี่ยนผ่านของยุคอนาลอก เพื่อก้าวเข้าสู่ยุคดิจิทัลอย่างเต็มตัว รวมทั้งการเตรียมพร้อมเข้าสู่ประชาคมอาเซียน การแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลละติดต่อสื่อสารอันรวดเร็วนี้โดยส่วนใหญ่ โซเชียลมีเดียมีความสำคัญในการติดติอสื่อสาร ทำให้เกิดการรวมตัว รวมกลุ่ม ตั้งแต่กลุ่มเล็กๆจนถึงองค์กรขนาดใหญ่ และในวงการศิลปะก็เช่นกัน
Use Space คือพื้นที่ขนาดเล็กๆแรกเริ่มสำหรับแสดงงานของกลุ่มเพื่อน ซึ่งต่างแยกย้ายกันไปประกอบอาชีพเพื่อหาเงินในการดำรงชีวิต(ส่วนใหญ่อาศัยอยู่ในกรุงเทพ) ท่ามการการเติบโตของศิลปะในเมืองไทย Use Space เป็นอีกพื้นที่หนึ่งที่เป็นพื้นที่ทางเลือกท่ามกลางพื้นที่น้อยใหญ่ที่มีมากมายในกรุงเทพ Use Space ไม่ใช่พื้นที่ทางศิลปะที่ตายตัวและไม่มีการสนับสนุนจากองค์กรทางศิลปะ เกิดขึ้นจากการแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดกันระหว่างเพื่อนว่าอยากจะมีพื้นที่ขนาดย่อมซื่งเป็นพื้นที่มีอยู่แล้ว ถูกจัดสรรสำหรับเอางานมาโชว์ในกลุ่มเล็กๆ เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์การทำงาน(ประกอบอาชีพส่วนตัว)และเกี่ยวกับงานศิลปะ หากมองในโครงสร้างทางประวัติศาสตร์ของศิลปะแล้วพื้นที่และการสร้างสรรค์ไม่จำเป็นต้องถูกจำกัดอยู่ที่องค์กรและสถาบันทางศิลปะแต่เพียงอย่างเดียวอีกต่อไป
