**Wiang K*m Kam: Explore the Ancient City of Chiang Mai**

Wiang K*m Kam, an ancient fortified city south of Chiang Mai, Thailand, offers a glimpse into the region's rich history.

Founded by King Mangrai in the 13th century, the city was abandoned after a major flood in the 16th century.

Excavations and restoration efforts in the 1980s and 1990s have uncovered numerous temple ruins, including Wat Chedi Liam, Wat Chang Kham, and Wat Hua Nong.

Visitors can explore the ruins by bicycle or motorbike, or take a horse carriage ride.
