“ I was recommended to do a jungle trek with Alex by a friend.
My friend and I were staying quite a way out of the centre of Chiang Mai, and Alex even came and picked us up in the morning from our friend’s house. Upon his arrival he said it would just be the two of us on the trek!
We then drove to a local market where we could pick up snacks, and he grabbed us some food to eat for our lunch. After this, we drove up into the jungle to begin.
The views were insane, and Alex’s knowledge is second to none. He took us first to a waterfall, stopping along the way showing us things that we would have no clue about, like these little plants that close up when you touch them, and teaching us about farming and the way of life up in the rice fields.
Alex then took us to another waterfall with Mr Boon, and this was absolutely beautiful and so much fun to swim in! He also cooked us an amazing lunch of fresh fish, rice in banana leaf, corn and pineapple.
On our way back from the waterfall we walked through a village, where we saw a litter of week old puppies! Alex is known as the “dog wizard” as he helps to vaccinate and care for the dogs, and he also helps the village and community surrounding it.
You can really tell Alex is so passionate about what he does, and it really is amazing what he does. Both of us had such an incredible day, Alex was a brilliant tour guide - funny, kind, selfless and super knowledgeable. We have both learnt so much, he has opened our eyes and our hearts.
I highly recommend doing a jungle trek with Alex, you would not get a more personal experience. “

We loooove our world here at and we are all about giving back to Mother Nature in whatever way we can. Our trips are eco-friendly, sustainable, and quite literally down to earth. Come hug some jungle trees with us!

‘Phenomenal way to experience Chiang Mai, Alex took us around on a jungle trek through a wide variety of landscapes from rice paddies to hillsides to rivers running through waterfalls and into a hillside tribe town. Throughout the day he shared so much amazing knowledge about Thailand with such passion and answered all of our many questions. Even had a meal cooked by him at our waterfall stop that was 5 star! Great to be able to go on a tour that was benefiting the local area and learning more about local life! Couldn’t recommend more, one of my favorite Thailand experiences!’

i enjoyed a 10km trek thru the jungles of Northern Thailand with and it was so much fun. We stopped at two waterfalls one which we swam in.

The air is crisp and smells just a little bit like peppermint and lemongrass as we trod along. We’re making friends with buffalos, we’re lunching from banana leaves, we’re diving into waterfalls, we’re climbing mountains, and we’re snuggling puppies.

We have been immersed in complete and total puppy heaven for weeks. Every day in the village we find new puppies pawing at our feet and grabbing at our hearts. So we’re initiating a puppy program! Every day we venture into this village we will come with any necessary vaccinations and medicines as well as extra food to keep these babes on the right track! If anyone is serious about wanting a puppy please contact us and we can see about bringing these babies to loving forever homes! ❤️

This weekend we took to the mountains and brought an early Christmas with us in the form of warmth and love. From our own experience in building Ben’s school during the Winter months, we know how cold it can get up in the villages of Pha Dang Luang and Pong Naam Ron. When we learned that there aren’t enough blankets to keep all of the people up there warm each night, the LiveLikeBen Foundation felt the need to act fast to fix this problem and provide a cozy, cuddly, warm solution. Blankets for everyone! We are beyond blessed to have spent an amazing couple of days in the mountains delivering 120 big blankets to the beautiful people that live in these villages. As always we were met with infinite gratitude and more smiles than we could count. We were also able to bring loads of scarves and hats to further spread the warmth! The entire village came out to see us and it was an experience we will hold in our hearts forever. A sincere thank you to the people of both Pha Dang Luang and Pong Naam Ron for the joy you always bring us. We adore you.

Christmas is coming early in Northern Thailand! As Winter sets in at the tip tops of the mountains the people of the villages are very, very cold! We received a phone call from the Chief of Pha Dang Luang discussing the weather, and thanks to the beautiful LiveLikeBen donors we were able to respond in a flash! Today we head back into the mountains with 120 big warm cozy blankets - one for each household in the two villages we’ve visited so far. Not only that, but we have bags of clothes, scarves, and hats donated to us from our friends at Stamps Backpackers Hostel Chiang Mai and a bucket of treats for the kiddos donated from our friends at Lantern House Chiang Mai as well!

Nothing brings us more joy than to go up to see the people of Pha Dang Luang, and we have every intention of bringing them as much joy as we possibly can as well!

We ❤️ Jungle Trekking !

PUPPIES! So. Many. Puppies. ❤️
About a month ago we came across 7 little babies who had been born in the village we visit on our trek. They are so sweet and have brought us so much joy every time we pass through the village. We were devastated when we were told that they were all getting sick for lack of vaccinations and a very severe flea/tick infestation. One by one they started to slow down a little and it became very clear they were headed in a dangerous direction. Short of adopting all 7 ourselves (and this was a serious consideration), our best bet was to visit a vet at the bottom of the mountain and bring up the supplies to bring the pups back to life. We’re thrilled to report they are feeling much better and are happily bouncing around again and making our days even better.
We love them.
Show your love folks! No matter how big or small or human or non human the creature may be, we all need some extra attention every once in awhile!
