Non-Immigrant Visa B (for business and work)

To work legally in Thailand, foreign citizens must go through two main steps:

Apply for a Non-Immigrant B Visa: This visa allows entry into Thailand for work purposes. It must be applied for at a Thai embassy or consulate in the home country before entry. The required documents are:

Valid passport (valid for at least six months)
Completed visa application form
Recent passport photo
Financial evidence (individual proof of 20,000 baht or 40,000 baht for family)
Approval letter from the Thai Ministry of Labor confirming the employer's eligibility to hire foreign workers.
Apply for a Work Permit: After entering Thailand with the Non-Immigrant B Visa, the work permit can be applied for in cooperation with the Thai employer. Requirements are:

The employer must apply for a work permit quota from the Thai Ministry of Labor.

Submit the required documents, including copies of passport, visa, resume, educational certificates, and medical and police clearance certificates.
