Krabi Treasure, would like to express their condolences to the victims, families, friends and for those who have been affected by the horrific attacked in Nong Bua Lamphu province yesterday.

Krabi locals will light candles tonight at 19:00 at the black crab statue on the river, in Krabi town for a memorial for all the victims.

Everybody is welcome to join the minute silence.

Krabi Vegetarian Festival 2022 - From Saturday 24 Sep till Monday 3 Oct 2022
Known by locals as the Nine Emperor Gods Festival, Krabi Vegetarian Festival is an annual event held during the ninth lunar month of the Chinese calendar. More than 70 shrines in the province will gather in front of Krabi's city hall to let the locals and tourists pay homage to the Buddha, and then witness the parade of gods and spiritualists of the sanctuaries through the streets of city centre. It is believed that the festival and its accompanying sacred rituals bestow good fortune upon those who participate and those who religiously observe this rite. Although its origins are Taoist, the Nine Emperor Gods Festival has slowly been incorporated into Thai Buddhism and currently is held in all areas with a Chinese history; however it is in the Bangkok’s Chinatown, Phuket, Trang and Krabi where the festival is most famous. This is a time when participants will abstain from eating meat, seafood and dairy produce. Some will make a token effort for a day or two before falling off the ‘vegetarian wagon’ but true devotees will also abstain from s*x, alcohol, gambling and will not use bad language as they purify body and mind.

Culture Tour “Koh Klang”

Our experienced English-speaking tour guide will start the tour at the Tiger Cave Temple, the Buddhist Monastery, and will explain its interesting history and see the stunning mountains that surround Krabi.

The trip will take you to Mud Crab Sculpture, learn about the traditional fishing community, and see the relationship between islanders and the sea. With a traditional longtail boat, you will be guided around the Island of “Koh Klang” and visit “ Khao Knab Nam”, the natural gateway to Krabi.

The Ko Klang Community has a peaceful lifestyle where you can visit the local products, the Sang Yod Rice farm, Batik fabrication, and the traditional long-tail boat (Ruer Hua Tong) center, these are at the core of Krabi’s identity.

We end our tour "Thai Style" by visiting the most well-known local Seafood Restaurant on the river, experiencing how the locals catch fresh fish and seafood, and then enjoy your meal on the river.
