Kantiang Bay (or Kantiang Beach) is located in the most southern part of Koh Lanta, about 23km from Saladan. It’s the last area with shops, restaurants and bars just before getting to Koh Lanta National Park. This beach is often regarded as one of the most beautiful on the island, and even in Thailand itself. It’s quiet, secluded and the crescent-shaped bay keeps the water calm.

Long Beach (Phra Ae Beach) is 4km long, which is where it gets its name. It's one of Koh Lanta’s most beautiful and popular beaches, getting many visitors each year. Long Beach is close to Phutara Lanta Resort, only a 5 minute drive by motorbike or taxi.

Getting to Koh Lanta from Krabi is very easy. The island is accessible by speedboat, minivan and ferry. It all depends on your preference or where you are staying.

Koh Lanta is conveniently located just 70 kilometers from Krabi International Airport. It takes only one and a half hours by car or minivan to reach the island from the airport.

Minivans and private taxis depart from the airport every hour.
There are also many ferries and speedboats that depart from Krabi to Koh Lanta. The boats will depart from Khlong Jark Pier or Nopparat Thara Pier, arriving at Saladan Pier in Koh Lanta in a short time.

Between Relax Bay and Klong Khong is a small beach named Lanta Secret Beach, or Bamboo Beach. It is considered one of the best beaches on Koh Lanta, great for enjoying the famous Koh Lanta sunset. It is almost completely undeveloped except for one small beachfront bar. There are many options and opportunities available for this beautiful piece of land.

Klong Khong Beach lies about 2km south from Long Beach. This beach is a 3 kilometer stretch of beautiful soft sand fringed with palm trees in the middle of Koh Lanta. It’s well-known for having very friendly locals and a very laid-back atmosphere. Klong Khong is a bit less developed and more relaxed and peaceful than some of the neighboring beaches.

The accommodation here is slightly cheaper than the other beach areas so many visitors choose this place to stay throughout the year. Many of the resorts and bungalow operations are small, cozy ones. Some of these places have upgraded to concrete and AC, travelers can find some great bargains here. This area is ideal for someone interested in developing villas or a small resort. There are also existing properties already for sale.

Just south of Khlong Dao Beach lies Phra Ae Beach, better known as ‘Long Beach.’ It is about 4km long which is how it gets its nickname ‘Long Beach.’ It is one of Koh Lanta’s most popular beaches. The water is clear and shallow and the sand is white; many people claim it has the nicest sand on Koh Lanta. The resorts and restaurants are spread out scarcely so this area of land is filled with many trees and greenery. It gives the local atmosphere a nice peaceful vibe, and many visitors and tourists choose this place to come and relax.

Khlong Dao Beach is the nearest beach to Saladan, where all tourists visiting Koh Lanta arrive onto the island. Due to its convenient location, it is an ideal place to buy land or start a new development. It is the most developed beach on Koh Lanta, and receives many visitors during high season - great for buying land, developing new resort/villas, or opening a bar or restaurant.

Koh Lanta Mu National Park is at the most southern point of Koh Lanta Yai. The lighthouse at the park is the most famous landmark on the island. At this unique park, many visitors come to relax at the beach, hike on the nature trail. The park has beautiful white-sand beach areas and ocean views. It is also home to a large rainforest with small falls, impressive caves, and wildlife that includes monkeys.
