Dear Valued Friends All Over The World,

Some unfortunate news everyone, SpicyThai Backpackers will shut down operations on January 31st, 2019. We are very sorry not to be able to keep our promise to be your home away from home. We have shared some amazing experiences with all of you through our 12 years of being a premium hostel in Chiang Mai. From waterfalls and temples to cabaret shows and everything in between has been such a journey to share.

We end our happy campaign on a high note as being one of the best hostels in Chiang Mai and perhaps in the world! It wasn't possible to feel this way without all you, our valued wanderlusters. You all made these 12 years joyous, exciting and fulfilling. True legends, all of you!
As a group decided that we needed to focus on our families and have some new adventures ourselves. Either it being us trying something new in Cambodia or making sure we spend more time with our families. We will always have SpicyThai Backpackers in our mind and in our hearts. We still have our sister hostel up in Pai and our brother hostel down in Koh Tao, they both offer our amazing Spicy experience. Give us a visit and lets make some new memories together!
Please do not forget us, please to not be sorry for us, please remember all of the great times you had here. We're a family still and the Spicy family will always be welcomed in Thailand.

It's back again !!! the most dangerous, interesting and fun part of our Loi Kratong Festival in Chiang Mai with locals.

Our activity for Loi Kratong Festival 2018
21st : House dinner, intruduce our guest local foods that they can not find it themselves easily. Afterward continue with the Loi Kratong Festival introduction. Cost 100 Baht

22nd : Chiang Mai Grand Canyon and Fire Foundtain making. At noon we will leave for the relax day time at the canyon and ofcourse cliff jumping. Late afternoon we will attending the real local style Loi Kratong Festival celebration by making mini and gigantic fire fountains. Do not miss if you do have a good camera or Gopro.

23rd : Kratong (the flower decorated float with candle and incense) making day. Late afternoon, we will prepare some materials to teach our guest to make one by themselve, it is not easy but never too hard to make one. After the we will go together to release them along with the main Loi Kratong Parade by the Ping river. We also will have a chance to release the fire balloons around there too.
