Yee Peng and Loy Krathong 2024 in Chiang Mai: A Spectacle of Lights!

Loy Krathong is the most famous festival in Chiang Mai. The Chiang Mai Loy Krathong Festival in 2024 takes place on November 15 and 16.

Hidden Village Chiang Mai

Are your kids obsessed with dinosaurs? Then this is the park for you! Enter into a prehistoric world at Hidden Village Chiang Mai.

This is like a theme park with giant insects statues, live animals for feeding and an informative dinosaur park.
It’s one of the best attractions in Chiang Mai for younger children (3-7 years old) to bust their energy and spark their imaginations.
There is enough to keep them busy for a solid 2-3 hours. Lots to do and plenty of places to run. Our girl liked the pony ride and the petting zoo.

Children under 130cm are free. Everyone else pays 100 baht entry. Foreigners with Thai Drivers license pay 100 baht as well.
There is a restaurant and a snack area. All the stuff is pretty inexpensive so it doesn't cost much even for several kids.

My Veggie Day in Chiang Mai

Start your veggie day and cultural adventure with a delightful breakfast at Jay Ming Kwan Suan-Dok Vegetarian Restaurant, known for its vegan options.

Fantastic variety of veggie dishes, all very tasty in their own way. They put some rice on a plate and then I point to 3 of the 10 or 15 options behind the glass counter. Every time I’ve been in, there are different options so I never really know what I’m getting but I’ve never been disappointed.

Delicious options in a welcoming clean environment. And not so touristy here! The prices vary from 40-55 baht ($1 - $1.5) which is amazing. We all know how expensive breakfast is in the US or Europe, so I believe Chiang Mai is still one of the cheapest and safest cities in the world!

It is the perfect way to fuel your body to set you up for success for the day!
