Thailand unveils new Long-Term Resident (LTR) visa, allowing selected non-Thais to stay in Thailand for up to 10 years

Thailand officially unveiled a new visa program called “Long-Term Resident (LTR)” on 1 September 2022, with a range of tax and non-tax benefits to persuade new foreign residents, technologies, and talents to stay or work in Thailand longer, contributing to domestic spending and investment while supporting economic growth.

The LTR visa is offered to four categories of foreigners:
- Wealthy global citizens: high economic status individuals holding at lease USD 1 million in assets and investment in Thailand;
- Wealthy pensioners: retirees aged 50 years and older who have an annual pension or stable income;
- Work-from-Thailand professionals: remote workers working for well-established companies overseas;
- Highly skilled professionals: professionals or experts in targeted industries working for business entities, higher education institutes, research centers, or specialized training institutes in Thailand or for Thai government agencies.

Spouses and children under 20 years old will also qualify for the same visa. (Maximum four dependents for each LTR visa holder.)

Privileges will be offered to LTR visa holders, such as 10-year renewable visa, fast-track service at international airports in Thailand, one-year report to the Immigration Bureau (from 90 days), multiple re-entry permit, permission to work in Thailand, 17% personal tax rate for highly skilled professionals, and other benefits.

ผู้ประกอบการที่เดินทางเข้าไปในกัมพูชาแล้วต้องการเดินทางกลับไทยทางบก
คือตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 พ.ค. 2565 จุดผ่านแดนถาวรทางบกที่เปิดให้คนไทยและชาวต่างชาติเดินทางเข้าประเทศไทยทางบก มีทั้งหมด 6 ด่าน ดังนี้

ด่านคลองลึก จ. สระแก้ว
ด่านบ้านเขาดิน จ. สระแก้ว
ด่านบ้านผักกาด จ.จันทบุรี
ด่านบ้านแหลม จ. จันทบุรี
ด่านบ้านหาดเล็ก จ. ตราด
ด่านช่องจอม จ. สุรินทร์ (อนุญาตให้เดินทางเข้าเฉพาะคนไทยเท่านั้น)
มาตรการเดินทางเข้าประเทศไทยทางบก ตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 พ.ค. 65 เป็นต้นไป มีรายละเอียด ดังนี้

กลุ่ม 1 - ผู้ถือหนังสือเดินทาง

- ลงทะเบียน Thailand Pass ที่เว็บไซต์ https://land.tp.consular.go.th ก่อนเดินทางอย่างน้อย 2 วันหรือ 48 ชั่วโมง
- แนบเอกสารประกอบ ได้แก่ (1) หนังสือเดินทาง (2) เอกสารรับรองการได้รับวัคซีน และ (3) หลักฐานการชำระเงินค่า รร. AQ จำนวน 5 วัน สำหรับชาวต่างชาติที่ไม่ได้รับวัคซีน/ได้รับวัคซีนไม่ครบ และคนไทยที่ไม่ได้รับวัคซีน/ได้รับวัคซีนไม่ครบ ที่ประสงค์จะกักตัวใน รร. AQ
- แนบหลักฐานการมีประกันที่ครอบคลุมการรักษาพยาบาลในไทย วงเงินขั้นต่ำ 10,000 ดอลลาร์สหรัฐ สำหรับชาวต่างชาติ
- หากได้รับวัคซีนครบตามข้อกำหนด จะได้รับยกเว้นการกักตัว

- หากไม่ได้รับวัคซีน/ได้รับวัคซีนไม่ครบ ให้เข้ากักตัว 5 วัน ณ รร. AQ ที่พัก SQ (กรณีคนไทย) หรือสถานที่อื่น ๆ ตามราชการกำหนด แต่ถ้ามีผลตรวจ RT-PCR ที่ออกภายใน 72 ชั่วโมงก่อนเดินทาง ให้สามารถเข้าประเทศโดยยกเว้นการกักตัวได้ (เฉพาะผู้มีสัญชาติไทย) โดยแนบผลตรวจลงในระบบ Thailand Pass ตอนลงทะเบียน



กลุ่ม 2 - ผู้ถือบัตรผ่านแดน

- ไม่ต้องลงทะเบียน Thailand Pass

- ไม่ต้องมีหลักฐานการมีประกัน

- ต้องมีเอกสารรับรองการได้รับวัคซีนว่าเป็นผู้ได้รับวัคซีนครบตามข้อกำหนดเท่านั่น

- เดินทางได้เฉพาะในพื้นที่ที่กำหนดตามความตกลงระหว่างสองประเทศ (คนไทยเดินทางไปได้ทุกพื้นที่ทั่วประเทศ)

- ชาวต่างชาติสามารถพำนักในไทยได้ 3 วัน 2 คืน

สายการบินบางกอกแอร์เวย์สเริ่มเปิดให้บริการเส้นทางบินภายในประเทศเป็นวันเเรก ในเส้นทาง (ไป-กลับ) กรุงเทพ-สมุย วันละ 2 เที่ยวบิน โดยมีมาตรการและเเนวปฏิบัติในการให้บริการเพื่อความปลอดภัยด้านสุขอนามัย และการรักษาระยะห่าง (Social Distancing) ภายใต้มาตรการที่กระทรวงสาธารณสุขเเละสำนักงานการบินพลเรือนแห่งประเทศไทยกำหนดอย่างเคร่งครัด โดยในโอกาสกลับมาเปิดให้บริการเที่ยวบินเป็นวันแรก ทางสายการบินฯ ได้เเจกหน้ากากอนามัยแบบผ้าที่ออกแบบลวดลายซึ่งเป็นเอกลักษณ์ บูทีคของบางกอกแอร์เวย์ส ให้แก่ผู้โดยสารที่เดินทางในวันนี้

Bangkok Airways’ precautionary measures and adjusted service provisions have been in place and in line with guidelines set by the airport authorities at both arrival and departure airports. The measures include body temperature screening, requirement of wearing masks, onboard seat allocations with necessary distance, floor markings to indicate appropriate distance at all service areas as well as on transfer bus. In addition, in the interest of passenger’s health and hygiene, in-flight meal service is suspended and consumption of personal food and drink is not allowed onboard. Cabin attendants are required to wear masks and gloves when on duty and passengers are required to prepare and wear masks at all times during flight.

Health and safety concerns of passengers and staff remain the airline’s top priority. Bangkok Airways will continue to implement precautionary measures to help contain the spread of the virus.
