The main sweep of the bay area is divided into two principal beachfronts. Pattaya Beach is parallel to city centre, and runs from Pattaya Nuea south to Walking Street. Along Beach Road are restaurants, shopping areas, and night attractions. Jomtien Beach in the southern part of the bay area is divided from Pattaya beach by the promontory of Pratamnak Hill. The Pratumnak Hill area is gaining in popularity for its beach as it is a quieter area and it has a lot of new hotel and condominium resorts in development around the area reflecting on growing demand. Offshore islands include the "Near Islands", Ko Larn (main island), Ko Sak and Ko Krok located 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) from the western shores of Pattaya Ko Larn, or "Coral Island", Mu Ko Phai, the "Far Islands", Ko Phai (main island), Ko Man Wichai, Ko Hu Chang and Ko Klung Badan, located offshore further west of the "Near Islands", and Ko Rin, located offshore to the southwest, south of Mu Ko Phai. Some of the islands in the group are accessible by speedboat in less than 15 minutes and by ferry taking about 45 minutes. The names "Near Islands", "Far Islands" and "Coral Island" are used for touristic purposes only and do not correspond to any naming conventions of the island groups and are not shown on maritime charts published by the Hydrographic Service of the Royal Thai Navy. Everyone has their own reasons, but compared to where I live now, the Gold Coast in Australia, Pattaya’s pros far exceed the cons:

1. The abundance of beautiful women of all ages.
2. Ridiculously cheap quality accommodation.
3. Amazing nightlife and clubs.
4. A variety of world-class international fine dining.
5. Delicious local food.
6. Easy and affordable public transport.
7. The best pool tables and competitions to test yourself against international players.
8. Fantastic happy hours around sports bars with no drama watching any sport you desire.
9. Cheap massages with incredible add-ons.
10. Easy access to some of the best beaches with tropical islands just minutes from the city.

The list can go on, but if anyone can add more, I’d love to know what I’ve missed. Honorable mentions include gyms, the ganga, coffee shops, the best burgers and pizza, meeting new people, Songkran, festivals, and access to Bangkok and air travel.
