เปลี่ยนกฎใหม่เพิ่มเติมสำหรับคนที่จะยื่นวีซ่าพาสเนอร์วีซ่า ( วีหมั้น วีแต่ง วีดีเฟคโต้ ) เริ่มใช้วันที่ 18 พฤศจิกายน 2016 คือ ผู้สปอนเซอร์ต้องขอ Police Check ด้วย ( ปกติจะขอถ้ามีเด็กติดตามด้วยเท่านั้น ) และถ้ามีคดีรุนแรง คือ ต้องโทษมากกว่า 1 ปี หรือ คดีต่างๆ รวมกันแล้วเกิน 1 ปี จะมีผลต่อการพิจารณาวีซ่า หรือถูกปฎิเสธได้ เพราะสปอนเซอร์ขาดคุณสมบัติ แต่ถ้าใครยื่นก่อนหน้านั้นหรือกำลังรอวีซ่าอยู่ จะ ไม่มีผลครับ และไม่ต้องขอเพิ่ม เพราะจะอิงกฎเก่าอยู่ครับ

New limitations on approval of sponsorships for Partner and Prospective Marriage visa applications
What will change from 18 November 2016?
Sponsors of Partner and Prospective Marriage visa applicants who lodge a visa application, on or after 18 November 2016, will be required to:
• provide Australian or foreign police checks to the department when requested; and
• consent to the department disclosing their convictions for relevant offences to the visa applicant(s).
What is a significant criminal record?
A sponsor has a significant criminal record in relation to a relevant offence if, for the offence(s), the sponsor has been sentenced to:
• death;
• imprisonment for life;
• a term of imprisonment of 12 months or more;
• 2 or more terms of imprisonment, where the total of those terms is 12 months or more.

THAILAND MARRIAGE VISA
Thailand marriage visa is the type of visa granted to eligible foreigner spouse of Thai citizens. Aside from being legally married, the foreign spouse must satisfy the financial and other requirements set by the immigration bureau. Working in Thailand is allowed for holders of Marriage Visa, provided a valid work permit will be obtained before starting to work.
*To know if your foreign spouse is eligible for Marriage Visa, please check the following requirements:
Legally married to Thai national.
A copy of the marriage certificate to support this claim must be provided.
Able to satisfy the financial requirement of:
savings of THB 400,000 deposited in a Thai bank account 2 months prior to visa application.
monthly income of at least THB 40,000. This will be supported by securing a letter from the foreign spouse’s embassy to verify this income or
Combination of the Thai bank account and yearly income with the sum of 400,000 THB.
Marriage visa is valid for one calendar year, and is renewable every year by submission of the same set of requirements just like the first time application. However, the funds in your bank account must be at least 3 months old before your can renew your visa.
In the event of divorce, the validity of your marriage visa will be forfeited. Sometimes, you will be allowed to stay in the country until the expiration of your current marriage visa. Check with the immigration bureau which applies to your case.
VISA APPLICATION PROCESS
The foreigner spouse could obtain a 90-day or even a one year non-immigrant O visa from his home country or country of residence.
Once the Non-immigrant visa is obtained, you can use this to travel to Thailand.
On the last 30 days of the 90-day permit, the non-immigrant O visa will be converted to one year marriage visa at the immigration office in Thailand.
After obtaining the Marriage Visa, the holder needs to notify at the nearest Immigration office every 90 days.

Retire in Thailand

STEP 1: OBTAIN A NON-IMMIGRANT VISA

STEP 3: OBTAINING A RE-ENTRY PERMIT

Most people misunderstand the different concepts of “Extension of Stay” and “Re-entry Permit”. Sometimes mistaken for each other, you must understand that these are two different things, both of which you would need during your stay.

The Extension of Stay is simply the controlling date. Everything else is dependent on this. Everything is invalidated when your Extension of Stay expires. On the other hand, the Re-entry Permit’s validity is subject to the validity of your Extension of Stay. However, leaving Thailand without a re-entry permit automatically invalidates your extension of stay.

STEP 4: REPORTING YOUR STAY EVERY 90 DAYS and VISA EXPIRATION

You are required to report to the Immigration Police every 90 days if you are on a long term extension of stay. Persons holding a multiple entry visa will simply depart Thailand and renew their extension of stay after each 90 day entry.

If you cannot obtain your extension inside Thailand, you will have to get a new non-immigrant visa from a Thai Embassy or Consulate abroad.

Meeting the Financial Requirements for a Retirement Visa:

Financial Requirements are as follows:

Bank Account showing THB 800,000
Monthly income of at least THB 65,000
Combination (Bank Account + Income x 12 = THB 800,000)
