These tiny birds chirped sweetly through the thick undergrowth, their vivid reddish-brown wings fluttering in and out of sight. I longed to freeze their ephemeral beauty, but my lens could not find a clear way through the tangle of branches. Calm down, I told myself. These feathered buddies were unlikely to venture too far from their lush hideaway because they were insectivores. I took a seat, positioned my camera, and bided my time. and held out. And at last, just as I was ready to give up, I noticed a faint movement. And there they were, balanced. I took a quick snap capturing this ephemeral moment of avian beauty.
