Water warriors! During last month’s Songkran festival (basically a big water splashing war), these soldiers decided to come from Malaysia & China to do their best to make as many people wet as possible. They stayed with us for 4 nights and did a good job! We hope they are dry again by now 🤣

Love is in the air! 😍 A couple of weeks ago we had the GREAT HONOR of hosting a wedding! The bride and groom with friends came all the way from Australia and wanted Chalong Palm Residence to be the venue for this special event. We organized monks, the traditional Thai water pouring ceremony, traditional Thai dancing performance, a live band etc. and made an unforgettable evening for not only the guests, but also for us. And… they gave us 5 stars:

"We had a fantastic time here. The pool was great and not too deep for some shorties and the kids, but big enough for the big guys. The pool was also cleaned regularly. The food was lovely; we were well catered to and felt very at home and welcome. I could go on - we just loved it❤️"

Thank you, Hong Kong! A group of friendly people from Hong Kong visited us in the beginning of this month. They stayed for 4 nights and left us a review in Chinese… We couldn’t resist getting the 5-star review translated 😊

“Thanks to the housekeepers for everything they arranged. There was a complimentary breakfast every day and the breakfast style was different every day. There was room cleaning every day, and the house is very nice and small children loved the pool, and I couldn’t wait to swim every day. The house has drinks alcohol to buy, and the housekeeper can take care of your lunch and dinner (payable but reasonably priced) We had a BBQ dinner, nice. Looking forward to seeing you next time»

Invaded by the French! These nice people came all the way from France to stay with us for 10 days last month. They enjoyed exploring, so we organized various boat trips for them to see the stunning islands and nature nearby. For some reason, they gave us very positive feedback:

“Ideal location, close to everything. We were a group of 12 friends. We just asked Peachy for the tour we wanted to do and she booked for us. A van would pick us up at the villa and bring us back in the evening. We dined practically every night at the villa. The meals, prepared by Nui and Bee, were excellent and varied. We had all the hotel services (meals, cleaning) with the advantage of being in a private place. Peachy, Nui and Bee are extremely friendly and caring people. We had a pleasant stay. We highly recommend this place.”

“If you’re staying in Phuket you must stay at this place - so much added up to a relaxing week. Nils is responsive in the lead-up and Peachy is a gem worth her weight in gold. Inside knowledge, an extra pair of hands to organize transport (including having driver wait to collect us), massage (in or out), meals (in or out) and recommended places that locals use. The in-house bar, snacks and availability of cooked meals make it easy to relax. Adaptable and flexible to changes for large groups.“

WE’VE BEEN SUPER-BUSY! It’s probably a good thing that we’ve been so occupied that we haven’t had time to update our social media platforms in a long time. Since last time, it’s been guests coming and going the entire time and we are very grateful for being so popular. Guest from England, Singapore, Belgium, Cambodia, India, Hong Kong, Australia, Norway, China, New Zealand etc. have been enjoying their time her. “This place is an absolute gem! Peachy the Villa Manager goes way above and beyond expectations. N Bee, Nui and Sonia kept us well fed and the place incredibly clean and tidy. This place becomes your own home in 24 hours and given you are within 5 mins drive of the chaos of Chalong Circle this is a welcome haven. The local bar around the corner along with the restaurants just 5 mins walk further allow you to have an authentic Thai experience away from the tourists.”

“We were so lucky to stay here. It was perfect for our family reunion. Everything was exceptionally clean, organized and relaxed. The set up with the pool, outdoor dining area, garden, games room and the fantastic food and service provided by Peachy and her staff meant that we could have the whole week just hanging out. We did get out and about but it was a fantastic place to come back to.”

Hong Kong – This very amused group of people just visited us for a few days. We really didn’t see them much, because guests from Hong Kong usually are very active during their holidays - going on as many tours and sightseeings as possible is the goal. 😆

“We were a group of 8 adult male golfers. The Chalong Palm Residence is an excellent place to stay for small groups like us. Peachy is an excellent villa manager, providing us with 5 star hotel service, arrange transfers and even helped arrange for Thai massages at the villa. Great food from Bee. A visit from Kenya! Our very first guests from Kenya/Australia recently stayed with us for one week. It was such a pleasure to have them around. They were very busy with various activities, such as going to Phi Phi island, zip-lining, ATV, elephant trekking etc.

20 kids (and some adults)! 🙂 We recently hosted a birthday celebration. 20 kids came to spend a night filled with celebrations, games, music, plenty of food etc. The kids were so busy they didn’t have time to sleep at all. It was a fun experience for everyone. Thank you for letting us arrange this event!

Renovation time! We closed the doors for a while in the 2nd half of September to give the buildings some tender, loving care. Everybody contributed, and we managed to do a lot of work in a short time. To be continued…

Our first visitors from Colombia! (Plus, some from the US and Hong Kong). It’s quite obvious why they came to Phuket, as it’s written on everyone’s T-shirts 😊 The 30th holiday was celebrated in style (or maybe wildly?) this weekend, and we thank them for choosing Chalong Palm Residence for this special event ❤️

At the end of August, we had another French invasion 😊 12 guests managed to find their way to us, and came to celebrate a 40-year-old birthday kid 🤣. We believe they were happy:

Last month, this lovely group of people from the US & India visited us for a week. We arranged a big birthday party, made them BBQ and organized boat trips to some of the nearby islands.

In their online review, they wrote “We enjoyed our stay at this place. The staff was very responsive and always available to help us with any request. They organized a birthday celebration dinner with decorations and cake on the day of arrival. Any request for cleaning was addressed with no delay. Overall, a great stay and Peachy and her staff made our stay very enjoyable.”

For 2 weeks we had the honor of having this wonderful group of people staying with us, and it was an awesome experience! This time it was a family reunion from England & Australia including a couple of birthday celebrations. We are proud to announce that our previous cook “Bee” is back working for us full time. She has previously made delicious food for us for many years, but during the pandemic she worked at a restaurant gaining valuable experience and new knowledge. Now that we are fully up and running again, we kidnapped her back to us and are happy to see her once again making our guests fat and lazy 😀

GUESTS GALORE! So far in 2023 we’ve been very busy! We have greeted guests from Canada, Hong Kong, Denmark, France, India, Norway, China, Germany, USA, Singapore etc. It’s been great fun, and we have managed a score of 4.9/5 stars on the major booking platforms. We can truly say that Thailand is back as a very popular holiday destination after the pandemic ended.
