Changhai Phuket, founded by an agricultural family. Starting from two domesticated elephants. Pulling and transporting rubber logs from deep jungle in Phang-nga province (120 km. from Phuket). As in old days, there were neither road nor truck to access in those rural remote wooden areas. Our family has conserved, owned, raised and bred the elephants for three generations which now there are 20 of them.
We have experienced their habit and behaviors professionally, for example, during annual male musth, elephant by their nature, like to be isolated from others, the rut elephants are very aggressive, forceful and dangerous to be approached. So they are specially taken care of and kept away from herd for some months in term of safety reasons.
All of elephants here are fully fed and well treated as our family’s members. Reproductive acts and great breeders seeking are provided when required; furthermore, The elephants here are closely monitored by licensed vets regularly as well. Appearing how healthy, and happy they are. We are real elephant expert.
We are an elephant's camp in Kamala, Phuket called 'Elephant Camp Kamala' We provide many different elephant activities, for example, elephant trekking, elephant bathing in both fresh and sea water, taking photos with elephant in terms of pre/post-wedding and modeling photo shots in the most beautiful Kamala hill, fully covered with perfect rain forest jungle, moreover, our elephants are also available for special events and occasions such as, ordination procession, wedding ceremony , Christmas, New Year and Songkran celebrations, birthday party and more as required.
