When you stay at Pranburi Villa, do not miss the opportunity to visit Phraya Nakhon Cave.
This large cave is located in Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park. The cave is named after King Rama V, who visited the cave in 1890. The cave is known for its beautiful natural setting, which includes a large chamber with a skylight that allows sunlight to shine through.
The highlight of the cave is the royal pavilion, which is located in the largest chamber. The pavilion is a small, wooden structure that was built in the 19th century. In the mornings, sunlight shines directly on the pavillion creating a golden glow.
Phraya Nakhon Cave is a popular tourist destination, and it is accessible by a short hike from the national park visitor center. The cave is open year-round, but it is best to visit during the dry season (November to April) when the weather is cooler and drier.
Here are some tips for visiting Phraya Nakhon Cave:
* The hike to the cave is short, but it is challenging up and down two steep hills; and it is important to wear comfortable shoes, preferably with ankle support. The trail is well-marked, but there are some sections that are slippery.
* Bring a flashlight to explore the darker areas.
* Be respectful of the environment. Do not litter or damage the cave.
* Observe and obey the signs.
