Award Mapper (https://awardmapper.com) is a great tool to get an idea of what hotels are available on points in a particular location. It is not a perfect site but saves you the time of searching different chains for a specific location
What you need to know:
1. AwardMapper tracks hotel awards with 7 chains. (Best Western, Choice, Radisson Rewards, Hilton, Hyatt, Intercontinental, Marriott & Wyndham
2. You can search by location or by desired points per night.
3. It is not an exhaustive list. For example, in some locations like Bora Bora, Intercontinental Hotels don't show up.
4. Best to confirm on the actual hotel website to confirm the points needed. Some of the embedded links do not take you there there as the links have changed.

Days Rooms By Hilton: A place to work, rest and regroup on a long layover
Hilton has been offering day rooms from 9am-5pm at many of their hotels including ones located at airports. At Chicago O'hare the hotel is actually in the airport. They make it easy to book and your stay & status benefits apply. For example, I have done this when I arrive at 9am on a flight into O'hare and I leave on the Turkish air flight in the evening to Istanbul. Usually the cost is around $99 (Less than half the price of an overnight room) and it works perfectly with my schedule. Breakfast or lunch is free due to my status with Hilton. I check out at 5pm and head over to the International terminal to check in for my Turkish Flight. You can book Hilton day rooms two ways. 1. United will start flying again to Dubai
2. You can buy tickets on United and it will price routes where you connect in Dubai to another city Emirates services.
3. You can buy tickets on Emirates to the USA and connect with the United Airlines domestic network.
4. When you buy these tickets it will be one ticket instead of two separate tickets making luggage transfer seamless.

Informing You: IHG.com has been down for a couple of days making it impossible to book, cancel or update reservations online or on their app. According to their website and Loyalty Lobby it appears that they have been hacked. If you have reservations that need to be canceled, made or adjusted, you should contact the hotel directly. They should be able to help you during this crisis.
