Job description
The Commercial Manager at Rocket DMC Tunisia is responsible for managing the commercial process, identifying commercial opportunities, executing sales and marketing activities, and driving profitable client relationships within a given region or segment. The role encompasses Business Development, Product Selection, Key Account Management, and Revenue Management, along with contracting tasks such as negotiating deals with hotels and service providers
Responsibilities
Commercial Management:
Maintain continuous engagement with client brands to ensure the achievement of agreed budgeted numbers.
Support client promotional activities (marketing, fam trips, etc.).
Identify and propose business development opportunities in existing source markets.
Perform and review benchmarking to validate and ensure competitiveness of client offerings.
Stay up-to-date with market developments such as competitor commercial activities and product offerings.
Contracting Management:
Establish strong relationships with hotels and service providers to negotiate the best possible deals and rates in line with client briefs (Rocket DMC).
Negotiate year-round contracts, access to market-specific rates for all clients, and exclusive rates (e.g., flash sales, club rates) where required or possible.
Identify opportunities and negotiate for allocations and stop sales protection where applicable.
Negotiate override agreements where applicable.
Stay informed about products and exclusive deals negotiated by other DMCs with hotel partners.
Keep updated on hotel developments such as new openings, closures, and rebranding in the destination.
Secure approval for rate changes and special offers.
Monitor date-sensitive offers and expiration rates of Early Bird Discounts (EBDs).
Provide support to the Operations Center as required or as per SOPs for guest emergencies.
Coordinate with Data Loading to ensure accurate and timely loading of negotiated contracts.
Manage hotel portfolio performance through the negotiation of special deals, flash sales calendars, override agreements, and ad-hoc activities to achieve annual growth targets.
Qualifications
Experience in the Tunisian travel market.
Fluency in French, Arabic, and English.
Familiarity with Rocket DMC's client base and product offerings.
