Maiden's Tower in İstanbul
The construction of the Maiden's Tower, which accompanies the historical process of Istanbul, dates back to 2500 years ago. When historical documents are examined, it is seen that the Maiden's Tower was first mentioned in 410 BC. If you ask who built the Maiden's Tower, according to the information obtained from the records, it was built by the Athenian commander Alkibiades and used to control the ships passing through the strait and to collect taxes. With the annexation of Istanbul to the Roman Empire, Emperor Manuel Comnenos had the tower redesigned by reinforcing it with stones and the tower became a complete defence centre. After the Ottoman rule of Istanbul, this tower was restored again and the mehter team performances were exhibited in this tower. The foundations and most of the lower floor of the Maiden's Tower were built by Fatih Sultan Mehmet. The Maiden's Tower, which was devastated by war and natural disasters throughout its history, was revitalised each time with restoration works. Renovated in 1998, the tower was opened to tourism in 2000 and hosted many local and foreign tourists.

The King's Daughter
The most well-known of the legends about the tower is the story of the king and his daughter. The king, who was warned by a fortune teller that his daughter would die due to snake bites, had the tower built on the rocks off Salacak in order to protect his daughter and placed his daughter in this tower.
The king sends his daughter various foods in a basket at certain times, and one day the snake hidden in the fruit basket poisons the king's daughter and causes her to die.

Suleymaniye Mosque, which Mimar Sinan called his journeyman work, was built between 1551 and 1557. The mosque, built by Suleiman the Magnificent, is located in the Süleymaniye neighbourhood of Eminönü district. The mosque and its complex were built on the highest hill of the Istanbul peninsula overlooking the Golden Horn, Bosphorus and Topkapı Palace. It is the second largest mosque complex in Istanbul after the Fatih Mosque. The mosque has the characteristics of classical Ottoman architecture. It has a simple structure in terms of ornamentation. It has 4 minarets and the minarets have 10 balconies. The 4 minarets represent that Kanuni was the fourth sultan after the conquest of Istanbul, and the 10 cheers represent the tenth sultan of the Ottoman Empire.

Derinkuyu underground city Cappadocia
The eight-storey Derinkuyu Underground City, built thanks to the geological formation of the Cappadocia region, consists of spaces that can accommodate a large community and meet their needs. Unlike Kaymaklı Underground City, another example in the region, Derinkuyu also has a missionary school, a confessional, a baptismal pool and an interesting well.

The first inhabitants of Derinkuyu date back to the Assyrian colonies. In the second century, the first Christians fleeing the persecution of the Roman Empire came to Cappadocia via Antakya and Kayseri and settled here. The first Christians, who founded the underground cities in the region, were able to escape the persecution of Roman soldiers by hiding in these cities, whose entrances were not easily recognisable. Since they would have to live in the underground cities for a long time without coming out, they expanded their space by building food stores, ventilation shafts, wineries, churches, monasteries, water wells, toilets and meeting rooms. In these cities consisting of interconnected rooms, some rooms are connected to each other by tunnels so narrow that only one person can pass through. At the entrance and exit of the tunnels, there are large stone cylinders used to close the tunnel for security reasons.
