The aim of this page is not only to promote our beautiful apartment and our home from home but to share the knowledge I have acquired over the many years of this beautiful corner of Turkey. what ever your interests. And it is a great base to explore the south west coastal region of Turkey and further afield. The complex is at the highest point in Didim giving you breathtaking views of Didim/Altinkum and Mavisehir. Apartment:
Our apartment is G5 on the 1st floor. This is a Luxury 2 Bedroom 2 Bathroom Apartment. A double bed in the main bedroom and en-suite bathroom. A triple room with 3 single bed's. Open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area. There is a dining table with 6 chairs The lounge area has a corner suite which opens up to form a very comfortable double bed. There is a LCD TV and DVD player with a collection of DVDs for you to enjoy and cable tv with a few english channels. There are 2 Balconies. 1 facing the pool with plastic chairs and table for alfresco dining and the rear on facing the sea and countryside. All bedding, linen and towels are provided. We only request you do not take these towels to pool area or to the beach. Bring your own beach towels
The Kitchen is fully equipped with hob, oven, kettle, toaster, fruit juice, microwave, washing machine and a very large fridge freezer. Pots, Pans, plates, cups, glasses and cutlery is all provided. We feel you wont be using the kitchen facilities much as there are many restaurants in the area providing quality tasty meals for all budgets. Many Just a few minutes walk away. All the rooms are air-conditioned. There is also free WIFI for guests to use. The complex is set in landscaped gardens surrounded bu a stunning sapphire swimming pool, with plenty of sunbeds. The Area:
Didim has an population of 85,000 and during the summer months this exceeds 200,000 due to turkish holidaymakers from big cities such as Ankara, Istanbul and others. And majority tourists visting from England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, some Germans, Belgians, Dutch and Scandanavians. It is also has an all year round British expat community numbering a couple of thousand and many more second home owners visiting through out the year. Altinkum means Golden Sands in Turkish is the beachfront area of Didim, describing the many golden sand beaches found in the area. The beaches are sandy bottom with gently shelving shallow waters ideal for children and non swimmers and swimmers alike. Didim is also home to the ancient 3000 year old Temple of Apollo home to the famous Oracle. This temple was second only to the one in Delphi Greece in importance in the Ancient times. There are some very nice restaurants around The Apollo Temple.
