There are many reasons why Bodrum is known as a popular holiday destination not only in Turkey but also in the world. But one of the first reasons we should underline is the historical and historical artifacts of Bodrum. Bodrum Castle, which has an important place for Bodrum, is the largest and strongest surviving castle in the Mediterranean.
The castle, which is visited by approximately 300 thousand local and foreign tourists every year, was built in the middle of the sea, not on the top of the city, unlike the known castles. The castle, which was built on a rocky ground between two ports, became an island in the Ancient Age, and later became a peninsula by connecting to the city.
The castle, which has an area of approximately 30,000 m², has five towers. These are the French, English, Italian and German towers and the Serpentine Tower. The castle is used as a museum today, and the Bodrum Underwater Archeology Museum is located in Bodrum Castle.
