🌺 Remembering and honouring our ancestors on Anzac Day 🇳🇿🇦🇺
We took a journey to Gallipoli, retracing the steps of our great-grandfather Frederick Milroy, who served with the Otago infantry in WWI.
Visiting the Māori pā was incredibly moving, connecting us to our heritage and the sacrifices made. Of course we stumbled across a cousin and cousins we never knew.
Grateful for the opportunity to pay our respects and learn from history.
We were fortunate to have as our guide again. He is the most passionate, informative and thoughtful guide who carefully planned our trek to ensure we covered off significant sites that my tupuna visited. If you ever have the chance to go here do not miss going with

Gotta love a few days away in Istanbul. There really is just so much to do, see, eat, explore and it's all so exciting.
Each time I go, I discover a new area, and this time, it was a retro, alternative area close to Galata Tower. Reminded me a bit like Cuba St back in the day.
This time round the new metro line from IST Airport was in service so an easy way to get into the main areas if you're flying in there.
With Istanbul being a major hub and now excitingly bring NZ & OZ even closer, you've really got to spend more than a few days here.
