One of the tourist and historical attractions of Istanbul is the Rumeli Castle, which was built by order of Fatih Sultan Mehmet. Rumeli Castle is a complex of fortifications and military forts located in the city of Istanbul, on the European coast, on a hill overlooking the Bosphorus. This castle is one of the symbols of Istanbul and today attracts many visitors from all over the world. The name Rumeli hisari means a castle in the Roman territory and was built by Sultan Mohammad II between 1450 and 1425 and only in 4 months!

The mausoleum of Antiochus I (69–34 B.C.), who reigned over Commagene, a kingdom founded north of Syria and the Euphrates after the breakup of Alexander’s empire, is one of the most ambitious constructions of the Hellenistic period. The syncretism of its pantheon, and the lineage of It’s kings, which can be traced back through two sets of legends, Greek and Persian, is evidence of the dual origin of this kingdom’s culture.
Crowning one of the highest peaks of the Eastern Ta**us mountain range in south-east Turkey, Nemrut Dağ is the Hierotheseion (temple-tomb and house of the gods) built by the late Hellenistic King Antiochos l of Commagene (69-34 B.C.) as a monument to himself, Nemrut Dağ retains It’s authenticity in terms of form, materials and design as one of the unique artistic achievements of the Hellenistic period with its fascinating beauty of monumental sculptures in a spectacular setting. It has survived in a moderately well-preserved state. The original ceremonial routes to the Hierotheseion are known and still used for access today.

Located in southwestern Turkey, in the upper valley of the Morsynus River, the site consists of two components: the archaeological site of Aphrodisias and the marble quarries northeast of the city. The temple of Aphrodite dates from the 3rd century BC and the city was built one century later. The wealth of Aphrodisias came from the marble quarries and the art produced by its sculptors. The city streets are arranged around several large civic structures, which include temples, a theatre, an agora and two bath complexes.

Manti are traditional Turkish dumplings filled with spiced ground meat and onions. The dumplings are most commonly topped with a sauce consisting of yogurt and garlic. The name of the dish is derived from mantu, meaning dumplings, and they were originally brought over from Central Asia to Turkey by nomadic Turkish tribes in the 13th century.
