Princess Island Tour From Istanbul

It is not a coincidence that Istanbul is famous as the city of contradictions. Despite its vibrant and bustling atmosphere, there are still some spots where you feel like time has stopped. Istanbul Princess Island Tour gives you the opportunity to escape from the crowds of the city centre, and visit the charming and picturesque Princess Islands. Feel the serenity of the setting, admire the quiet atmosphere, interact with the locals, and create some new memories.

The Princess Island Tour is available on a daily basis and begins during the morning. For your own comfort, a modern vehicle will transfer you from your hotel to the Golden Horn, which is the starting point of the tour. From there, you will embark on a ferry boat in order to reach the first of the islands. The boat trip lasts for almost 30 minutes.

The first island to explore is called Heybeliada or Halki. Princess Islands are nine in total, and this one is the second largest, and the one closest to the city. Once there, you will be impressed by the green setting which demonstrates natural beauty at its finest. Blue waters, green trees and tranquillity are some of the island’s main characteristics. During your time there, you can explore some sites such as the Theological School, the Beth Yaakov Synagogue, a monastery, and a church. The tour guide will give you some interesting insights regarding the places of interest.

By the end of the first stop, you will again embark on the boat and travel to Buyukada, the largest and the most popular of the islands. The distance between them is approximately 10 minutes. However, reaching the island will take longer as you will enjoy a lunch break aboard with a buffet full of delicious options.

Upon arrival on the next stop of the tour, you will be impressed by the charming and beautiful houses. As you walk around exploring the island you will observe some sites such as the Clock Tower, Aya Yorgi Church, the Greek Orphanage, imposing old mansions, and of course a beautiful blue sea. Take your time to relax and don’t forget to snap some photos.

After spending some time there, you will return back to the city with a ferry boat. At the port, a fully air conditioned and modern vehicle will be waiting in order to transfer you back to your place of accommodation.
