regarding kos trip from altinkum, i have had other questions which i did not clearly explain on my previous post regards kos.
the question i had, " we heard the custom in kos take 3 hour +", " how long do you think we could spend there"
first of all, the ferry to Kos is a great oportunity for didim/altinkum, hoping we could have bennefits like grek ppl can also visit altinkum which will support altinkum tourisim, many local shops can able to make more bussiness on the same time it would bring competition, between 2 resorts..... kos and altinkum.... just imagine (sea foods, the expensivest food also alchooling drinks ) calamary or octobus or sea fish in greek island is only 10 euro, in atinkum it is almost three times dearer. another sample turkish raki, for instance "YENİ RAKI" in greek island it is 16 euro in the markets or duty free, in turkey it is more than 35 euro but it made in turkey.... all i m trying to say competion will help for the expat in altinkum and inflation.. i can continue but prefer to stop for main subject.
we used to run kos trip from bodrum and there are 5 or 6 ferries running almost in the same time, which they start between 08:15 till 9 am and timings are depends ferry speed. 5 or 6 ferries arrives KOS almost on the same time and custom can take longer but not like (3 hours as i have been told). Our ferry from altinkum will run at 09:30 and arrives kos 10:45 which means majority of the ppl had custom already. when u consider the ferry capacity is 250 ppl more or less, so we could finish our custom by 11:30.......and on the way back ferry to bodrum are leaving port by 16:30 till 17:00 but our ferry leaves at 17:30 that means you will have the worst 5 hours there in kos. we cant able to run ferry later in the day as because of Greek coating rules.
i am just thinking the gossip " 3 hours customs....arriving 10:45 than 3 hours 13:45 and you need to be there by 16:30 gives u more or less 2 hours 30 minutes is just a lie which may created by the one whom against altinkum toursim and bennefits or tour operator who wants to run the trip from bodrum as they can only able to get bussiness frm there. you may find it sily but i am also member for bodrum fb groups as i run trip to bulgaria for them, and seen ferry to kos from being bodrum agency asking for 33 euro, but altinkum agents prefer to sell from 30 pounds. bodrum agents has no transport cost but altinkum has.
