Tobagonian John Procope has succeeded in his 4th attempt to swim from Tobago to Trinidad.

Procope left Tobago's waters via Scarborough just before 10pm on Wednesday October 2nd and made it to Trinidad approximately 24 hours later, as planned, on Thursday.

He said he was inspired by an enslaved man, Sandy, who escaped capture by swimming from Tobago to Trinidad in the 18th century.

Procope was supported by boat operator David McLean, aka 'Predator,' who is now being praised by many after accomplishing this historic swim.
