A quick and easy Independence day hike, perfect for beginners and families. We begin our trek by a short, paved road walk (10 mins), then a descent of moderate but short incline off the road and onto the hiking trail which leads us to the Aripo river where a lovely waterfall and large deep pool is located. Trail is shaded throughout, but pool and waterfall is exposed to full sun from around 11am.

Paria Waterfall and its swimming pool is one of the best there is! The falls is a majestic single drop waterfall that flows into a gorgeous deep and wide basin perfect for swimming and floating around as the sun makes it way over the top of the pool! This waterfall is just a 15-20 min trek from where the boat drops us off on Paria Bay this Sunday!

Some of y'all may remember Robby when he summited Lobuche East in Nepal in 2022. ( https://www.facebook.com/share/p/Yi9rFuzJKzrrgtRU/?mibextid=oFDknk )
Robby managed another magnificent feat in August of this year sumiting Mt. Kilamanjaro where conditions got as harsh as -35 degrees with wind speeds of 30-50 mph. 🤯 Mount Kilimanjaro, a dominant volcano in Tanzania, is the fourth most topographically prominent peak on Earth! What an absolutely amazing adventure! Robby of course, trini to de bone, flew the T&T flag at the peak!

🏞️EVENT DESCRIPTION:
The Maracas Waterfall stands as a captivating centerpiece within the Maracas Valley. Enveloped by the serenity of this valley, this waterfall finds its home within the Northern Range region as is Trinidad's tallest waterfall standing at 300 feet (91.5 meters) and is the source of the Maracas River, which provides water for the surrounding communities. The Maracas Waterfall cascades gracefully, its waters glistening in the sunlight as they tumble down the rugged cliffs, creating a mesmerizing spectacle of nature's grandeur.
The Maracas Waterfall is not only a sight to behold but also a sanctuary for various flora and fauna. Within its vicinity lies a mosaic of ecosystems, including lush rainforests and vibrant seasonal forests, which provide refuge to a diverse array of species. Among these inhabitants are the rare and endangered, each contributing to the rich tapestry of biodiversity that flourishes within this area.

Saturday's Paramin tour was more special than usual (yes, it is possible). We celebrated the birthday of Nicholas, one of our longstanding Palance868 pillars and one of the reasons why this Palance868 Misty Blue Mountain Paramin Experience is so highly sort after and almost always sold out!!! Nick may not be Paraminian by birth but over the many years of being a host, all of Paramin has grown to love his kind and infectious personality. He is a master at photographing and showcasing the beauty of Paramin and almost all of the pictures posted from tours are his artwork or that of his wife Veetz who he's passed the skillset on to. We were happy to celebrate him in one of his favourite places doing one of the things he loves most. Hosting you in Paramin!

Kari has been a part of the Palance868 hiking family since July 2018. I think it was with her, we realized we had created a safe space for women and their children to explore and indulge in the magic of the outdoors.🥰 We've watched her kids grow into braver, more adventurous, nature loving individuals over the last 6 years so it was truly a special and momentous occasion to celebrate the birthday of one of her kids on Sunday, almost exactly 6 years down from her first Palance868 hike!
