Mud volcanoes, like the L’eau Michel Mud Volcano, are created when pressurized gases, water, and mud push up through soft sediments due to underground tectonic activity. 💨🌍

Deep below the surface, methane gas and fluids from organic material build up, forcing mud to the surface through cracks and weak spots. This process creates mud pools, bubbling craters, and even small eruptions over time! 🌿💦

𝗨𝗽 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁! 𝗦𝗮𝘁 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 - 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀! 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝘁! 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴.

Within the forests of Cumaca lies a series of three beautiful spread type waterfalls, where curtains of water cascade down limestone faces. These waterfalls are immediately after each other along the Turure/Cumaca River. At the base of each waterfall is a pool that invites you to take a swim. The third waterfall has several pools as the limestone forms a firm base for the river as it flows downstream. Here the pools are of varying depth with some being very shallow and some being deep enough to take the plunge off the top of the limestone rocks.

o Difficulty Rating: Level 3/10 (easy to fair)

The Paria Bay and Waterfall hike, is by no stretch of the imagination, an easy trek. It is at best moderately challenging for the fitness buffs and at its worse, dare we say, it is very strenuous for lesser active/sedentary persons. But.... hands down, the Palance868 Team would be your best bet and companion for this trek should you ever aim to cross this hike off your local bucketlist.

Gentle reassurance when you want it, bold motivation when you need it, coupled with constant support, lots of smiles, laughs and a few hours later, you're basking in the sun on the golden shores of Paria Bay with Cathedral Rock in the background and swimming in the turquoise waters of the majestic Paria waterfall... that's the magic of Palance868. ☺️❤️

𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗱𝗵𝗮/𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗼 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼!

It's easy to why this waterfall would be called "Vine" by villagers as there are copious amounts of vines that hang down and around the falls. But why Buddha falls? In Buddhist tradition, the birth of Prince Siddhartha (who would later become the Buddha) is accompanied by several miraculous events, one of which involves two streams of water bathing the newborn and his mother, Queen Maya. This event is interpreted as a divine acknowledgment of the Buddha's purity and his future role in purifying the world through his teachings. There has always been a special correlation between 2 streams of water and Buddha so it's not hard to see how this 2 tiered waterfall would be renamed Buddha Waterfall.

Regardless of what name people settle on for this beauty, we can all agree on on thing, it surely is divine! As such, our guests (and our hike leaders too) enjoyed themselves thoroughly here!

𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀

Just a short distance from its more prominent counterpart, the smaller of the Double River Falls offers a secluded haven for nature enthusiasts. This lesser-known waterfall is accessible via a brief trek off the main Madamas Road trail, leading explorers through lush, unspoiled forest paths. Upon arrival, visitors are greeted by a short but powerful cascade of water flowing onto rocks perfect for sitting on and getting a free neck and shoulder hydromassage.

This was the 2nd of 3 waterfalls in Brasso Seco that we visited last Saturday!

The larger of the two Double River Falls stands as a testament to nature's grandeur. Located approximately four miles east of Brasso Seco village, this captivating waterfall cascades from a height of 89 feet into a serene, shallow basin, offering a refreshing retreat for visitors. The journey to this hidden gem is a straightforward 40-minute walk along the Madamas Road, traversing a flat, wide byt often muddy path with gentle inclines. As you approach, the soothing sounds of cascading water harmonize with the vibrant symphony of local wildlife, creating an immersive experience that rejuvenates the soul.

As we were already on our way to Double River and Buddha/Vine waterfalls in Brasso Seco, we made the stop for our guests to enjoy!

Ohhh boy! This weekend was one for the books!!! Saturday we were out at Brasso Seco visiting Double River and Buddha/Vine waterfalls and today we had sim ops with our Paramin Blue Devils Brunch Tour and Paria Bay and Waterfall by boat AND by trail! All events came off incident free with guests leaving raving feedback of their experiences! There isn't an adventure club team so wildly versatile, yet still largely customer service oriented, down to earth & hardworking like team Palance868! Full albums coming soon!
