We're making the most of the upcoming long weekend by roadtripping to the north eastern coastal village of Grand Riviére for a multi-waterfall hike.

Through a mix of trail and river trekking we'll visit multiple cascades including Homad Waterfall, Lacatang Waterfall, the little known Infinity Falls and several smaller falls and pools in between.

Please note, it takes approx. 4 hours to drive to the hiking location from San Fernando so we encourage persons in need of transport to book early; and we encourage those who would be driving up to carpool.

Sunrise Bird Sanctuary Tour!

Guided by the moonlight, we'll navigate through the mangroves hoping to spot snakes, caimans, owls and other nocturnal creatures on the hunt!

At dawn we'll anchor at the nesting islands of the sanctuary to await the first glimmers of light when thousands of colourful birds take flight for the day.

Some of the birds we'd see include the scarlet ibis, pink flamingoes, white egrets and herons of all colours and varieties!

A vege-breakfast and light beverages are included in the tour.

The Guides

Just trippin’ is led by Devindra Harnarine, a trained and certified tour guide, based in San Fernando, Trinidad. Devindra has years of experience leading both local and foreign tourists on a wide range of tours, having been a tour guide at the cruise ship complex and a hike leader for a number of hiking clubs.

The other guides on the Just trippin’ team have years of hiking experience and expertise. All guides are trained and certified first aiders and have swimming rescue skills training.
