Sensational Tours is a family owned business, specializing in airport transfers, executive business facilitation, destination tours, event and vacation experience packaging and ground transfers. Company Managing Director, Gerald Nicholas has extensive expe

rience in the tour operation business. Nicholas was employed by Trinidad and Tobago's Tourism and Industrial Development (TIDCO). In this capacity, he was exposed to all aspects of the tourism industry with particular regard to the logistical arrangements for the movements of large groups. In 1998, one of his major assignments was transporting retired American Army General Colin Powell, former US Secretary of State, around the island. Nicholas worked with his team to make sure Mr. Powell's visit was perfectly coordinated. He followed this experience by developing specialized skills in the transportation of international visitors to Trinidad and Tobago for meetings and conferences. He also became adept in the design and
delivery of tours and travel itineraries for travel agents, media representatives, tourists and visitors. Nicholas also organized internal personnel travel tours for Carnival visitors, beach clean-ups and other staff-related activities. Nicholas was also one of the main transportation providers during Trinidad and Tobago’s hosting of the Miss Universe Pageant in 1999. He was assigned responsibility for the ground transportation for the senior executives of Miss Universe Incorporated. He was also chosen to take the then Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago and his wife on an island tour. In 2001, Mr. Nicholas formed Sensational Tours with the commitment of providing excellent customer service to a wide variety of clients. In Loving Memory of Mr. Gerald Nicholas – A Legacy of Passion and Excellence

My dad, Mr. Gerald Nicholas, decided to start Sensational Tours because of his deep love for sharing the beauty and culture of our island. His journey began as an assistant tour guide, and through dedication and passion, he eventually became a fully certified Tour Guide with TDC. From there, he took a bold step and opened Sensational Tours, which has since grown into a remarkable success story.

Thanks to his hard work and vision, we now welcome guests from all around the world who come not only to see our stunning island but also to immerse themselves in our rich cultural traditions.

As many of you may know, our family experienced a great loss when my dad passed away in February of this year. His passing came as a shock and has left us in disbelief, but we remain deeply proud of everything he accomplished.

Late last year, my dad received news that he had won the Travel and Hospitality Award 2024—naming Sensational Tours as Tour Company of the Year in Trinidad and Tobago under the Americas Awards 2024. Sadly, he passed before receiving the physical trophy, but this award stands as one of his many incredible accomplishments.

Mr. Nick will always be remembered as a true patriot who dedicated his life to showcasing the beauty and culture of Trinidad and Tobago. Through his work with Sensational Tours, he provided exceptional tour guiding services to countless international visitors, leaving a lasting impression through his passion, charisma, and deep knowledge of our heritage.

The work undertaken for the Tourism and Industrial Development Company; Tourism Development Company and Tourism Trinidad over the last three (3) decades was invaluable, and his warmth and enthusiasm will be greatly missed.
